"That's not funny. I trust you are just being dramatic."

Have to throw a wtf? at @My3Sons for the discussion from one of the now closed draft threads.

Of course I'm not going to go out kicking dogs..........at least not big one's and certainly not pit bulls, risk reward is just not good in that type of behavior.

agree

we should all work less
I've built my life around the idea of not working my life away.

A little bit of regret as I approach my 50's, could I have retired nice and early if I had worked a regular ole 9-5 40 hour a week job? Maybe, but I very much value my 4 day work week(at a close to home, no commute job).

It depends upon whether you have a wife and kids to some extent. I'll drop dead at my desk since I'm old and still have one in high school with one still in college. My oldest is still on the payroll for some things despite having a job. It seemingly never ends.

A longtime GF and no kids.

And I keep my GF working, I'm modern like that.

My older dog escaped our yard and went on an adventure in our neighborhood this afternoon. Luckily I noticed that she was gone shortly after, and we were able to track her down and lure her back with treats.

But now I'm looking at my fence, and I can't figure out where she got out. Usually there is evidence of digging, or a section of chain link that is clearly askew. But this time she was a goddam ghost, and now I'm going to be paranoid every time I let her out for the next few weeks. Huskies, man.

I've read that Huskies are insanely good at escaping. Is it possible he/she hit the latch in the gate and it closed by itself after it got out? Mine did that a while back and we didn't know for like a half hour until a neighbor told us. Took us another like 20 mins of sheer panic to find her.

They are really good at escaping. I don't think she can work the gate though. Most likely she went under the fence in a way that it snapped back, or she jumped over.

She is really prey driven (as most huskies are). My guess is she saw something tasty on the other side and went after it, and it didn't even register to her that she was out of bounds.

my Female golden thinks everything is a variety of squirrel. Deer are big squirrels ducks are water squirrels and rabbits are fat squirrels.

this is why i built a chicken tractor...

1. they get a few hours outside of the covered run and coop and dont wander over to either neighbours (one has at least 13 birds, the other a big german shepherd)...

2. shit hawks above

3. foxes

Rubio monocoat "Pure" is the finish on these solid maple fishing rod racks. Definitely the best finish I've ever worked with. Worth every penny.

Wife and I are not having kids, in fact I’m having a consult for a snipping so that we can be completely sure. Our retirement plan is to live in Mazatlan, her home city in Mexico, in a house that’s big but not too big (lest the cartels notice) on the beach with hounds.

Hell, if it wasn’t for my parents being nearby and needing help, we could look for work down there, or at least remote work, and get a head start.

Younger husky caught a rabbit in the yard today, and it was all I could do to separate him from the carcass. I had to get my snow shovel and scoop it into a grocery bag, then toss it in the trash barrel. What a jerk.

He still has a ways to go to catch the older dog's kill count though. She's winning 9-5 now.
