Okay, I can't stand this record at all, honestly.

But for some reason, I've always really liked this song. I would say this is definitely in my top-10 favorite Clash songs and there's nothing else after London Calling in my top-10, other than this one. Straight to Hell is probably close though.

i liked Should I Stay it Should I Go from Combat Rock.

I couldn't stand it, I actually like Rock the Casbah better as far as the radio hits go.

It would have been cool seeing Mick Jones perform in some little room in a library like that though.

That's from 2009? God, he's looked so old and terrible for over 30 years now. I don't even know what he looks like now, but I remember thinking he looked like he might be ill be the early 00's and he was getting kind of old looking by the late 80's/early 90's.

He was wayyyyyy older looking than everybody else in the band by like 2000, including Joe Strummer who was actually several years older than him.

I don't think he looks too bad, but yeah he got some new teeth haha.

Johnny Rotten got new teeth too and he gained about 120 pounds. Like literally.

Although I think he's yo-yo'd a bit in weight since he first gained a whole lot several years ago. I saw another fairly recent picture where he wasn't so heavy anymore, then he gained it back, then seemed to lose it again.

Nah we are not.
You still sure about this? My kneejerk reaction was nuclear annihilation, then it subsided for a few days before going back to paranoia.

I've also been seeing posts on Twitter- yes, more than one- that have downplayed the destruction and consequences of a nuclear attack. I'm not a proponent of banning people online for the most part, but I feel anyone doing this should be banned on sight. On Twitter, today's terrible idea becomes tomorrow's mainstream talking point.

Yes. The only way anything like that happens is if Putin attacks a Nato country directly. Putin is dumb and insane, but he isnt that dumb and insane to do something like that.

This past week was the first time I've traveled for work in over 2 years. Felt really weird.

Now I'll have to see if I remember how our expense system works tomorrow.

We just talked about our travel plans for this year last week. Not looking forward to all this makeup travel. There are like, 5 or 6 week long trips....

My pick for most underrated band. Crazy chord changes sometimes.

solid as f***.... i recommend.... and plenty of whack chord changes ...

the whole thing is good....... a great show in some small pub from 2010....sure the keys in some songs are a bit high in the mix but could be the recording medium and mic placement on it that doesnt translate how much better the live show sounded.

enjoy

They played my college. My frat were the stage hands and roadie assistants. I met them but I can’t recall the experience at all. That’s strange because I was a fan of their music. Thanks for sharing this video.

OK, so please bear with me. When viewing all of the thread headers, how can I go to the first unread post in a thread? There used to be a button to the left of the thread title but I don't see it any longer.

You know that commercial where the Devil fan starts jogging at the start of the pandemic and lost all sorts of weight?

I'd like to see a follow up on that. What's that guy doing now?

I forgot all about this, but I did wind up looking him up after I started seeing that commercial and I found a couple articles from the local papers about him.

Hopefully he's still doing well. I gained a ton of weight over the pandemic, but not really for pandemic reasons, but depressed about all kinds of bullshit. I'm talking like 60-ish pounds and about 35-40 were just between about March and October of 2021. Food is just how I medicate. That's my only drug.

I started losing it in the middle of October, the week that the NHL season started. I'm happy to be down 45 pounds. Still can't fit in my size medium T-shirts yet, but I've been back in a size 34 for about 1.5 months (they were tight up until about 2-3 weeks ago) and I finally got under 200 pounds about 3 weeks ago.
