To my ears they are very different singers. Both great in their own way but Scott had that unique sound that made AC/DC into a success. He was more nuanced to me than Johnson. That said I think Johnson was prefect on Back in Black and that Scott would not have done that material quite as well. Great choice as a comparison.
I agree. Scott was the better - But jeeze what stroke of luck to find that replacement.

When I was younger, a woman who had lived with Johnson was a friend of a family friend. I recall peppering her with questions about Johnson and while I cannot remember any details, she did say he was a humble guy who was in the right place at the right time.

We got about 9 inches of snow here in Mercer. Just got done using the snow blower. Sitting back and enjoying a Maker's 46 neat to warm me up. Time to chill and enjoy the scenery:):thumbu:

We got less here than the forecast was hyping, only about 5 inches rather than over a foot. My brother in Boston said they got over 2 feet.

#9. Ronnie James Dio

I think Dio's voice and theatrics epitomized the 80's Metal scene...maybe a little campy but nonetheless iconic.

I went skiing for the first time in my life on Saturday. I did very well on the "greens". Picked it up pretty easily from a lifetime spent on rollerblades.

Then I tried a "blue". HUGE mistake. Fell spectacularly four times in like 200 feet.

#8 Chris Robinson

The first time I heard the Black Crowes was live. I think was 1991? maybe 92... I was completely blow away. It was just a good soulful rock music that had seemingly been lost in the late 80's and early 90's - So when I heard the Black Crowes it was refreshingly good.

#7 Geddy Lee
I am quite positive Geddy Lee makes no ones list of singers...His voice is downright bizarre. But somehow, some way, it just works. And I kind of enjoy the fact that some people just can't stand it. I can listen to Rush all day and while the music is incredible Geddy Lee makes it unique.

@JimEIV

Do you by chance build fishing rods? I think this is the next hobby I'm taking on. I caught a few fish on homemade lures last year. Time to catch them on a homemade rod this year I think.

Now we get into another level of my all time favorites...

I have built 3 of my own ultralight spinning rods along time ago and when I was younger. I also worked in tackle shop doing some rod repairs...Mostly tips but I replaced and wrapped a lot of guides too. I thought about picking a kit from MudHole but I just don't have the time.

EDIT:
I mentioned the rod repair because I had access to a multitude of threads(colors), epoxy, a dryer and a rod wrap bench...Otherwise I wouldn't have built my own...I don't think?

Yeah, not sure if I should go the route of that kit from MudHole of get something like the PacBay wrapper and other components and supplies separately.

These hooks are incredibly tiny. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's incredible to see them in person.

Well I went for it. Ended up ordering supplies separately because I wanted the PacBay wrapper instead of the One in the MudHole kit. I'll let you know how it goes.

#5 Axel Rose

This kid was just something so different from anything I ever heard. Raw and angry...rockstar persona supreme...died out as fast as he rose... nothing more rockstar than that

#4 Jim Morrison

Honestly I can't stand the Doors music....that organ sounds like circus music...but Jim Morrison transcends the band.

#3 Bruce Dickinson

Easily my all time favorite. The next two just bring more to the table. But Bruce has been it for me going on 40 years...these are some of my favorites
