I went to get tested for what is causing my allergies, and the good news is I'm not allergic to pet dander. I was worried that my dogs would be the reason for my nose acting up.

The bad news is I'm not allergic to anything else they tested either. Very frustrating that I still don't know what is causing it.

After about 8.5 years in Chicago it looks like I'll be coming back to NJ. Made the decision with my gf that we're gonna look to buy a house in NJ instead of the CH suburbs. It'll be good to be around more friends and family again, and be able to catch regular Devils games. After finding out that work has no plans of making us come back to the office full-time, instead a hybrid model of 2-3 days/week in the office...we're looking at some farther out commutes to get us some decent property size with a pool without the higher tax rate.

@TheUnseenHand So are you interested in Tenkara at all? Seems to lend itself to micro fishing

Generally if it's Japanese in origin I'm interested, but this might be a bit of an exception. I like having a rod AND reel. Surely there is some level of connection to the stream that perhaps you don't experience with "high tech" gear, but I'm a high tech fisherman. I want to be able to cast, and I also don't want to lug around a 9 or 12' pole especially since I'm a pretty intense hater of rods that are more than 1 piece. Though perhaps ironically the rod that I would use for this is a 2 piece custom hyper lite rod I got at a fishing show many many years ago.

Tying micro flies looks like fun though. I'd love to give that a go.

That's a heavyweight tilt.

Yeah we all wanted to see banging, but Ngannou's team executed that perfectly.

That man earned to keep his belt and Gane knew it. This was mixed martial arts at some of its finest imo.

Gotta say considering Subban barely got any sleep given what happened to his brother, he had a damn good game.

moved your quote from GDT to here.

this list is from sept '21 rolling stone that i only read 2 nights ago …i never heard this song before…..shame that we're in 2022 and 'incidents' still happen.

The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time

#460
Steel Pulse, 'Ku Klux Klan'

The first great British reggae band — and some of the style’s finest songwriters — made their Island Records debut with this incendiary look at the rising tide of racist violence in late-Seventies Britain: “The Ku Klux Klan/Here to stamp out Black man.” They underlined the lyric by actually performing the song live — including a memorable BBC appearance — wearing white Klan headgear. “The hoods seemed extreme at the time, but that’s what we are in a way,” vocalist Michael Riley said. “When we wore them, people started questioning what the song was about instead of just dancing to it.”

17. Paul Di'Anno

Unfortunately a lot of people aren't familiar with Paul. But his punk like vocals is what catapulted Iron Maiden to stardom.

15 is Old Blue eyes though....

Seriously I can listen to this all night while drinking martini's and discussing John Locke's Two Treatises of Government. And I have.

14. Tommy Petty

There is something so unique and so right about Tommy Petty's voice... it's a little hillbilly, a little blues and little pure rock... whatever it is, he's is one of my favorite voices.

13. Janis Joplin

The only woman on my list... the raw power pain and anguish is captivating. I never listen to Janice and not feel something. A truly distinct and powerful voice.

12. Willie Nelson

It's weird. I don't like country music and I am not sure I like Willie's music to be 100% honest. But I absolutely love his voice. It's awesome in so many ways.

11. Scott Weiland

Just for the soul. He didn't have a a great range but I love what he did and how he did it.

#10. Bon Scott and Brian Johnson...

Has there ever been a more unique singing style as Bon Scott and then the most incredible seamless transition to Brian Johnson...How the hell do you replace Bon Scott? Easily apparently.

To my ears they are very different singers. Both great in their own way but Scott had that unique sound that made AC/DC into a success. He was more nuanced to me than Johnson. That said I think Johnson was prefect on Back in Black and that Scott would not have done that material quite as well. Great choice as a comparison.
