For some reason I had this problem on mobile about a month or two ago, but when I posted from my desktop they were there. It was like they were disabled on mobile. Is anybody else not able to post emojis or am I in some kind of timeout I don't know about?
Sitting on a park bench. Eyeing little girls with bad intent.
it feels like a trap if i hit the "like" button for this post.
You're talking about a Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Grammy winner, so I think it's okay.
Weird. It doesn't work on my Fire tablet, but does in Chrome on my Galaxy Tab...but doesn't in Chrome on my Galaxy phone. Technology...
Oh yeah.... probably 100% of the music I listen to today is digital. XM radio, YouTube music, streaming TV stations music and my own personal collection of files is all I listen to these days...
But I do miss going to a "record store" thumbing through the albums and bringing them home and reading the liners.
I can't imagine not experiencing that as a kid...I think they are being cheated
i too loved going to shops
kids today will never get that experience...it's a touch the screen and magically something is downloaded world to them....or just get spotify or whatever and everything is at your fingertips.
my first email account (still have it) was 1994...so i had already lived with no internet for 19 years of my life...
i've lived in 'both eras' ....i feel for people that never got to experience life without a computer in your hand all day.
without it THEY WOULD BE f***ED and wouldnt know how to function....
as for the LP thing....as i mentioned above it's getting near impossible to buy vinyl at today's prices....
I miss the process of renting movies/DVDs. Searching on various apps isn't the same. When my wife and I first bought our house we'd be at the local Blockbuster every Friday grabbing two movies, some candy, etc for the weekend. Now, it's looking through Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, etc.I don't miss physical media whatsoever, music or movies. I find just as many new bands by checking out openers for any show I'm already going to or just browsing recommendations from other places online.
Don't think kids these days are missing out on that aspect of things at all. In terms of being connected 24/7 that I definitely agree with though.

Nah, I like nostalgic type of things. For example I still listen to sports radio on AM bc I like the raspy tone it still carries even though the show is available streaming or on FM. Blockbuster was cool. You don't think it's just a member berries thing?
I don't miss any of that stuff but seems like I'm definitely in the minority here but maybe I'm also just younger than most here because while I experienced Blockbuster I wasn't able to get there without a ride, it wasn't remotely in walking distance either for me.
I love being able to just browse highly rated/recommend movies on Letterboxd or Reddit or just even browsing new releases on websites and seeing names/titles and then being able to watch from home on the couch easily.
Snow just finished up here, I think we got around 8-10 inches. Not looking forward to shoveling later.
I just love a lazy snowy day of fly tying.
Tie a fly, sip some tea watch the snow fall, repeat ... beautiful morning.
