A high mountain lake in Colorado. No secrets..it was Joe Wright Reservoir...I got a little information that they were stacked up at a mouth of a creek and the info paid off. We landed about a dozen between my wife and I. Place is awesome. Just shy of 10k in elevation and we caught grayling and cutthroat for about 2 hours nonstop until the thunderstorms rolled in.

There is a town in Michigan called greyling. I've driven past it many times during golf trips, and apparently there are greying there. Every year I say I'm going to take my fishing stuff with me and every year I don't. Not that I'd have time to stop anyway. Regardless, in the short term that seems my most realistic option to pursue that fish. Admittedly your location sounds better.

Grayling Michigan is the original home of Bear Archery...Fred Bear. It's held in high esteem for every traditional Archer in the world, it's practically Mecca for traditional archers :)

Cool little bit of info

"In Grayling, MI on March 5th, 1999, mayor Ralph Stevens proclaimed every March 5th to be "Fred Bear Day" forevermore. March 5th was Fred Bear's birthday. Archery enthusiasts, bow hunters and friends of Fred Bear gather together on his birthday every year to honor and remember his legacy. "

A little bio on who he was... entire books have been written about him but this gives a little insight.

My favorite night of the year! My dog hiding in the laundry closet or under beds scared shitless!

Veterans who served in combat having their PTSD triggered!

What an amazing night! I can't wait for all these f***s to blow off fireworks until 4:00 or 5:00 AM!

I loved that. I can absolutely hear what you talking about. It gets more like a Harrisong as it rolls along. The buzz guitar on the riff at the beginnjng would probably be a synth and the slide elements in the later lead runs would be a bit more slidey but I could absolutely hear George singing that. Maybe add a couple of more prominent fills by Ringo as well. The outro was amazing and even the vocal has a George like quality later in the song and on the chorus. Great find and thanks for sharing.

People just shoot them off illegally.

yep...they dont give a shit...

and it's pointless to call cops (here, they changed the by-laws that it is allowed only on the holiday (july 1st) but people dont care....it goes on all weekend.

one saving grace is i know where the major culprits live and am trying to think of things to f*** with them without getting caught. (just like they dont get caught)

im open to suggestions. all ideas will be considered and the more f***ed up the better.

starting at 1030 last night really pissed me off

They’re legal here and the entire neighborhood sounds like a war movie. It’s fine earlier, but they’re still doing it at close to 11:00.

Sure, they got shot off in places where they’re illegal, but not like this. I’ve never had this Vietnam war movie shit anywhere I’ve lived in Jersey.

I still hear a bunch in the distance, which don’t bother me, but they’re probably bothering someone like me that’s actually close to them.

But the dicks blowing them off in this neighborhood want to be the last one’s to stop for the night, so they fire off a bunch at a time. They’ll go quiet for 5-10 minutes and then start back up again.

I’m pretty sure these were the same see you next Tuesday’s that were blowing them off all night on new years 2022 (I didn’t hear them this past new years or they stopped at a reasonable time), which they’d blow at least one off every 30-40 minutes. And the last one was at 3:30 or 4:00.

yep...they dont give a shit...

I sometimes have sick fantasies about them catching themselves on fire while blowing them off.

I don’t care. If you keep blowing off fireworks all night, then I couldn’t care less if you died a slow, painful death.

Of course, it’s kind of early right now still, so I’m not gonna go that extreme on someone shooting them off right now, but much later than this? Burn motherf***ers.

I guess I'm getting old but the shit annoys me at this point with regard to fireworks. Just be done relatively early. Still going after 10 is absurd. The fact that they're close enough to make my cameras go off when they flash is too close for my tolerance.

10? Hahahahahahahaha!

I’m lucky if they’re done between 12:00-1:00 here.

Don’t these people have go to work tomorrow? Most of these motherf***ers have had a 4 day weekend.

That’s something else I can rant about all night. When the 4th of July falls on a Tuesday. It’s literally the worst possible day of the week that it could fall on, because it’s almost always a 4 day weekend and non-stop bullshit and partying and 5 straight nights of drunks all over the road.

Thursday is also pretty bad for the 4th to fall on for the same reasons. Another 4 day weekend for many people. So we get to do it all over again next year when it falls on Thursday.

While I’m on the topic of ranting about my neighborhood, how the f*** does one’s panic button/car horn manage to go off over and over in the middle of the night? Are they sleeping with their keys in their bed and rolling over onto the button in their sleep?

Not that this is really the middle of the night, but it’s happened at 3:00-4:00 by the same assholes.

And it just went off and it took literally one minute and 55 seconds for them to shut it off from the time I first heard it.

Maybe they sleep in their clothes and DID roll over the button in their sleep?

I'm one of those annoying assholes that loves screaming bottle rockets and saturn missile batteries, but I think the latest we've shot stuff off was like 11. We're usually done by 10-10:30 because the big professional fireworks at the state capitol grounds and rodeo grounds are usually around 10:30 and we try to watch them if we can.
