Thunderstorms this afternoon disturbing my fishing.

Pass the time with a 6 pack and hopefully it clears up before dark.. last night I didn't get off the water until 10:00pm and it was still light.

8th day in Montana and it hasn't reached above 68 degrees once since I've been here.

good natural evening light .... i was stacking wood here until just past 10 pm still last night with no problems seeing. then it dropped fast.

i love the late light this time of year. ...and it's not even at the days of latest of light in evenings for a few days yet.

Anyone by chance know of a dog boarding place in NJ that would accept an un-neutered dog?

Because my brother can't plan out anything correctly I'm trying to find a place he can board his dogs for my wedding. The hotel is dog friendly, but there's a rule that dogs can't be left in the room alone and I'm positive he's going to just try to do it anyway...leading to potential issues during the ceremony/reception.

Not sure where in NJ you are or how far you're willing to go, but my family has used this place before and loved it. Not sure if they take neutered dogs, but it could be worth a call.

You honestly may be able to hire someone on rover to watch the dogs in the hotel room for the reception lol

Risotto is so good. And while slightly tedious to make, really not difficult at all. The only problem is that I can never eat as much as I think I can

Are you sure it's always the same one?

i had the same rabbit come by every evening for three years when i had the chickens.... it would come for the scratch grain i'd leave in a small pile by a tree ....then one day there were three of them.....

two ran away while the 'original' still hung out about 10' feet away from the wood shop doors.. . then i knew it was the one ....but shit it was hard to tell them apart

Looks good!

I recently came to the realization that my best dish in almost every cuisine is usually rice-based: risotto, paella, mujaddara, fried rice, biryani, jollof rice, green rice burrito bowls, etc. It's such a versatile ingredient.

Well you can't see it, but I'm tipping my cap to Squidward to show my respect.
I had the same thing in Oak Ridge Park in Clark. Every time I'm there I see two red tailed hawks soaring overhead... every single time. So I started to assume they were the same ones and they must live there.... so as luck would have it recently I found the tree where their nest is with the babies.

So I just assume if I keep seeing the same birds in the same areas maybe their nest is nearby.

Here's a pic I got of one of the hawks.

Vincenzo is one of my favorite short series of all time. It's perfectly goofy, overly dramatic and amazingly cast. It's one of the best all around acted series I've ever seen. Two times watching through and I feel like I want to immediately start it over again.

So the Beatles are releasing a new song at the end of the year. It’s been around for a while but the technology finally exists to clean it up enough to hear John’s voice properly. Thank you Peter Jackson. It’s not a great song but it will include some Georger guitar work I haven’t heard so it should be fun. John’s demo has kicked around for a while of you want to look for it on YouTube. Not his best work but we will see what Paul and Jeff Lynne did to dress it up.

Duuuude. That is my only real bucket list fish. Where did you catch that one?
A high mountain lake in Colorado. No secrets..it was Joe Wright Reservoir...I got a little information that they were stacked up at a mouth of a creek and the info paid off. We landed about a dozen between my wife and I. Place is awesome. Just shy of 10k in elevation and we caught grayling and cutthroat for about 2 hours nonstop until the thunderstorms rolled in.

Why that species? Are they very rare?
Artic grayling.

Tough to find in the lower 48 unless you know where they are in some very high elevations, usually remote alpine lakes/streams. I've been trying to catch one for a long time and this week I hit the jackpot.
