Publix has boar’s head which are very good as commercial cold cuts go. At least to me. Jersey Mikes seems much better to me than subway but I’m sure both are loaded with salt .
Hot subs opens up a whole new potential class of subs. Typically I go for the simple meatball parm hero if I get a hot sandwich. The chains all do an ok but not great job on those to my tasteThe times I've had Jersey Mike's, I actually didn't think there was enough salt on the sandwich I got. Too much oil though.
Up here, nothing beats Nardelli's (local chain of Italian delis) for hot sandwiches. They make one of the best eggplant parm grinders I've ever had, and that's always my go to when I'm trying a new Italian place, so I've had a lot of them.
I like that their meats aren't just cheap salt bombs and you taste the flavor of the actual deli meats. Their bacon is salty as hell - pepper relish is the secret imo. I ask for light oil, no oregano, pepper relish on all my subs. The oregano sometimes hits bitter to me so I avoid it.The times I've had Jersey Mike's, I actually didn't think there was enough salt on the sandwich I got. Too much oil though.

I was in Spain last year at one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to, but f*** those rocks hurt like hell getting to the water. Not only were they pointy, they were hot as f*** lolDon’t tell my wife and kids but I think I prefer the US beaches over these rocky beaches on the French Riviera even if I can get drinks delivered to the beachfront in France.
They also used to sell the bread for $1 which you could get for making sandwiches at home. Not sure if they still do that. I make artichoke and mushroom subs with provolone for the wife sometimes because she's not a big meat eater and loved the Penn Station sub like that.
i went to some horse place once. horse tavern? it was expensive but amazingI'm going to be in Jersey City tomorrow and Thursday for business meetings. Driving down tonight.
Dinner tomorrow is already set, but does anyone have good suggestions for places for dinner or drinks?
The sky and smoke are nuts. It's like the fire is the next street over and not 500 miles away in Canada.
Yeah it's brutal, I had plans for outside that I canceled today cause it's so bad. Smells absolutely awful too. Can't possibly be good to be breathing this shit in.
It's not.
WEAR A N95 (or KN95) Mask if you're outside.
