Seattle's forecheck played a big part in that imo, not a lot of time or space for anyone.

It wasn't a perfect game, but he was doing things well that aren't his usual bread and butter, which to me shows progress

Didn't make any noticeable gaffe he's prone to make either so that's progress too

He had a good stick last night and prevented several second chance opportunities on big rebounds by Forsberg.

We had a few breakdowns defensively and I forget if he was part of any of them but every team has breakdowns every night including the best teams in the league. Tonight Forsberg was strong on all the chances we gave up and our defense cleared out most rebounds and Chabot was a big part of that.

Had a good game last night I thought. Thought he was good against jersey. So 2 of the last 3 have been good

Seems to me that he’s shooting it from the point much more than he used to.

Gotta admit, he has been good as of late. Battling for pucks, keeping position and gap control has been solid.

He's settling in well for the 2nd pair anchor. His minutes have been managed very well, going from the ~22 mins of ES a night he has played every year since he has entered the league to 18/19 mins.

Going from 26 mins a night to 21/22 is a very large positive for both Chabot and the Sens. Sanderson is the team's horse, in all situations.

He is still going to be the #2 in icetime with over 21/22 mins a night, get ~1:45-2 mins of PP on the 2nd unit, and is being used, thus far, as a staple on the PK with 2:20 a game.

A #2 minute muncher who is going to put up ~40-50 points who tilts the ice in the Sens favour more than any other D is a very nice piece for the Sens

If he is able to overcome some of the bonehead plays he makes, and even with them, he's going to be a legit game changer on the 2nd pair for this Sens team

Some accountability based on his play.

He's a talented player who could be a huge asset if he plays within the team structure.

Could be settling into Jay Bouwmeester style career arc. Adapt from a heavily used offensive D, to a smooth two-way defenceman later in their career.

Chabot Jensen is a pretty damn good 2nd pair.

Sens got the right partner for him finally after selling Demelo for a 3rd... Like who does that lol.

Kleven's play is very encouraging. The 3RD can be better but I think the rationale to pair Kleven with Hamonic is diminishing. JBD will start to take more games away.

He's likely to be in the 20/21 minutes he's gotten over his career. 18/19 ES, and ~2:30-3 PK

Will have some games with 23 mins, some games with 18, but in the end he is likely to end up 3rd in ATOI by ~1-1:30 behind Chabot. Nature of the beast when you aren't recieving PP time.

Sens aren't going with a Chabot of past model with 1 guy eating all the minutes, Sanderson looks to be playing ~19 a night ES, along with 3:30-4PP and 2:30-3 PK.

Zub likely slides in around 18 ES and 2:30-3 PK per game when all is said and done.

His major bonehead plays/60 are too high
His bonehead plays/60 that end up in our net are too high

Yes he tilts the ice and that's great. But he makes major gaffes with way too much frequency. Maybe having some goaltending this year mitigates that, but he's got to cut down on the "omg Chabot, wtf was that?" Plays.

Man, your obsession with Chabot is reminiscent of a certain poster's obsession with Todd White.

Chabot has not had the fortune of a good steady partner since Demelo. Hopefully having a vet like Jensen next to him fixes things.

Loving that Chabot & Jensen pairing. So far it looks like Green knows how to play Chabot in a way that doesn't overwork him and make him a liability.

I was under the impression that Zub had several d partners, and that injuries to either one of them prevented them from having a steady partnership. Not like he did with Demelo.

Jensen is very mobile, which probably helps Chabot play his game and worry less about the occasional mistake, because he has someone who can cover for him or even get into the right spot.

He's spent ~19% of his time with Zub over the past 4 years.

Wasn't a steady partnership, would last a couple games and be changed.

Were quite good when paired together

In 2022-23, he played primarily with Zub when both were healthy, but Zub missed a bunch of time, so Chabot has played away from him a fair bit thats true.

He's looked his best when playing with DeMelo or Zub, hopefully Jensen can do that for him as well, because he does need a steady partner to help put out fires.
