This is a bad hockey team

You know what's funny? People were dead serious about how this is a bad team with less than 20 games into the season. Saying we couldn't win a game without Shesty, standing on his head. And yeah, that may have been true. Even I said something like....they wouldn't know how to cycle if they had three wheels. But now it seems quite a bit different, they actually look like they know what they're doing and where they're going and who they're playing with alongside them. Yeah their PP's in a little bit of a rut, but they'll get out of it. They just need to shoot more. We might be getting quite the run out of this team, and all I know is it's going to be damn exciting.

Deadline moves really propped this team up. I don’t think anyone really saw us as legitimate contenders prior to then but now you can make an argument.

It’s going to tough as shit to make it past the Eastern Conference this year but I’ll just be glad to watch playoff hockey again.

Earlier in the year, the ice was definitely tilted toward the Rangers end, and we gave up too many high quality chances. Igor absolutely bailed us out on many occasions. Even going back a month, it was pretty clear that we didn't match up well with teams like Carolina and Colorado. But since the deadline, this is a much more complete team. We're outshooting the other team most nights, outplaying them at 5 on 5, and doing a much better job of limiting the quality chances against.

In our last 6 games, we have given up 6 goals, and 4 of them were against Carolina. We're getting contributions from our 3rd line lately, and the top 2 lines are humming along pretty well.

I wonder if it's an urgency thing? I hope so. Would be nice for the pp to look lethal in the playoffs. would definitely make teams think twice about taking penalties against us.
 
I have finally come around on this team a little bit. I thought this team would make it to the 2 round at best but now i feel this team has a legitimate shot at the cup. The deadline trades bringing in some skill back into the lineup sure helps. LAF looks better and i feel chytil has to get a little bit of puck luck eventually.

Shame that the east is so stacked and i feel teams 1-6 are better then ever. Even the bruins and caps could win and it wouldnt be the biggest upset in the world.

If the Rangers win 3 of the last 4 they will break the franchise record for points in a season. Insane. Just an incredible season that surpassed even my wildest expectations. In 10 days it’s all about the destination, but we should enjoy the journey too.

No matter what happens this year, I think this is the start of a big run of success with this core. Igor, Fox, Panarin, Zibanejad, Kreider. As long as we have them we have as good a shot as anyone

We’re getting dominated by bad teams, our top guys aren’t performing, our lottery picks aren’t performing, our special teams aren’t performing, and we’re simply being outcoached.

There have only been 1 or 2 games this season that we’ve legitimately deserved to win, and it’s been a pain to watch, despite the wins.

The team defense is total crap!! No hitting since goody got hurt..
 
Every time someone bashes us Im just going to say could be worse. We could be NJ. Wish we had Sammy. At least he would hit people.
 
Nemeth should be sued for fraud. How the f*** did we give him that contract?! I called him a 7th d-man when we signed him, obviously i was wrong. He's an AHLer.

Our team is playing too soft and our team defense has been AWFUL. Not even a prime Hasek would've had amazing stats with this team this playoff edition.

We're giving up so many high danger chances every game.

This is the big one for me. I don't really get the contract to begin with but continuing to play him when he is clearly not an NHL level player is baffling.
