Would playoff experience this season have no future value to the young players on the roster?
Flyers are experts in circling.DiMarco saying Flyers expect teams to circle back on Laughton once Guentzel is dealt

It's amazing that the Flyers finally have a GM who's willing to take on cap dumps to acquire draft capital while also flirting with a playoff run. Or it would be if this wasn't just what Hextall did. The Flyers had 36 picks in his four drafts.
When you see that the relatively useless Edmundsson got a 3rd and a 5th, it makes you wonder what a healthy Seeler could have got back. They could have always signed him on July 1st.
The prices on rental defensemen seem lower than usual.I'm also baffled by people who are completely 100% convinced Walker couldn't have fetched a likely late 1st all on his own. Worse players who aren't RHD have gotten more.
Nah playoff experience is always a good thing. They aren't making a deep run but even if they get swept in the first round that is better experience than going to play golf. Ideally they would have sucked the whole season and finished near the bottom but where we are now with fewer than twenty games to play they should be trying to get in.Would probably be detrimental when they find out in a sweep that they don’t have the talent, and that’s not changing anytime soon.
I'm baffled people can't look at the market this year and judge that for themselves. The prices are low across the entire board. The prices on rental defensemen seem lower than usual.
The advantage to why Seeler was sought after to start with was his contract.I don’t think the prices are really that different one way or another than normal this year.
Seeler probably would/could have gotten a similar return to Edmundson. That’s generally what those third pair archetypes generally go far. The difference is some times one guy is actually good (Seeler) & the other guy isn’t (Edmundson) but the market thinks they’re both good.
They said he missed practice because of illness
Does the NHL have rules like the NFL where they have to give a real reason for their injury status or can they say whatever they want?
