praying they trade both, but if it’s only one - i’m hoping Walker goes
Flyers are an ass teamThe hollowness of the Flyers strategy in a nutshell. They bemoan not having top talent like Colorado and Florida, yet say they don't want to "tank" or be contractually top heavy (bottom heavy is preferable). They want to cling to the fantasy of finding all the top talent they need in the late 1st-2nd round, and yet, they willingly pass up acquiring those picks for depth players. Their entire plan is playing the Powerball with 5 tickets.

How many times can the same rumor on Walker and Seeler get tweeted out before the deadline? It's been the same report for weeks
I think I’m going to amend my pledge to be open minded if the Flyers traded one single player that Torts didn’t feud with or want out of Philadelphia. They’ve let this fester too long.
Laughton should be gone. Seeler should be gone. Walker should be gone.
We’re dealing with common sense stuff here with where the organization is but alas sometimes the best path forward is to “be a f***ing Flyer.” You get assets for these players and tell them you’ll be in the hunt during FA if you really love the player. If they get snatched up by someone else so be it.
I will pledge to be openminded if two of those three are moved or if some other type of move is made that makes sense for a rebuilding team.
Is locking up a 30 year old #6/#7 defenseman to a 4yr/16mil contract not something rebuilding teams do?The fact they’re willing to go four years on Seeler is utterly insane to me. I’d expect that to be like a pie in the sky ask from Seeler’s camp just to ask not actually the team agreeing with it.![]()
And he'll be 31 when the new deal starts. Heck of a price to pay during a "rebuild" for your #4/5 dmen behind Sanheim, York and Drysdale. Is locking up a 30 year old #6/#7 defenseman to a 4yr/16mil contract not something rebuilding teams do?
If that’s something they turn down, god have mercy on their soulsRumor in Edmonton was that Flyers were offered Cici and a 1st for Walker...
Me too, I could stomach a 3 x 3 extension for Seller too.praying they trade both, but if it’s only one - i’m hoping Walker goes
If they turned that down, they’d best have better deal coming down. I’m hoping that Seeler and Walker for Lambert is more than a goofy rumor. If that is why they passed on the Oiler deal, I’d be fine with that.Rumor in Edmonton was that Flyers were offered Cici and a 1st for Walker...
There’s no way two UFA d-men in Seeler and Walker land Lambert. I just don’t believe it.If they turned that down, they’d best have better deal coming down. I’m hoping that Seeler and Walker for Lambert is more than a goofy rumor. If that is why they passed on the Oiler deal, I’d be fine with that.
now you know if anything like this is happening, Logan Stanley is definitely coming here in that deal as a throw-in so Torts can act like the defense didn't lose a single person if you add up the entire defense by weight. If they turned that down, they’d best have better deal coming down. I’m hoping that Seeler and Walker for Lambert is more than a goofy rumor. If that is why they passed on the Oiler deal, I’d be fine with that.
I'd easily take 27 and Ceci. I'd try to get another conditional pick though.27OA + Ceci @ 3.25x1 vs let’s say a 2 and a 4 that upgrades to a 3? I’m not sure that’s a clear decision. I’d want to know who else is looking to buy space.

That would be a pleasant surpriseOne year of Ceci and a first for an expiring contract on a middle pairing dman? That is a deal a rebuilding teams makes 10/10. Only way you don't do that is if you can get something better.
Worse than that, it was 6 x $5m.
6 x $6.5m under the current cap.![]()
