What does that say that we over value not one but 3 of our guys in comparison to the rest of the NHL ? It is a god damn mess this organization.

But hey , Hilferty congratulated Kelce on his retirement, that is all that matters.

He made it seem like they’re holding out for first rounder. He said it’s understandable to stick your asking price to some degree but at some point you have to be realistic with the market. But he made it seem like the Flyers viewpoint might be first rounder or nothing for Walker & he doesn’t think anybody has or even will offer that come Friday.

He said you can still get a second rounder for him & this is a guy you essentially got this summer as cap dump. So they should quit on him while their ahead opposed to doing nothing or even worse extending him to a pricey contract extension.

Well, those guys have stopped talking about rebuilds and started speculating about buying, which almost no one else has done. Other than when Frank said earlier this year about them earning a ‘small addition’ or whatever it was.
Just my perspective but Friedman has been Eklund 2.0 this year. He’s just been spouting off things that you could get from reading local sports pages/sites for various teams. Didn’t see him knowing anything on Pettersson resigning with Vancouver; the Flyers moving Gauthier and so forth. Even his chatter on the Flames moves were no brainers. Granted that getting inside information on team moves is difficult but he’s been out of touch all year

My prediction is John Gibson is their target.

Gibson + Try hard plug for Brink, Panthers 1st , Zamula , Sandstrom.

The upcoming schedule is maybe the toughest we have ever seen, and this puke of a GM is going to buy. I will say it again, this could get worse than Chuckles tenure.
Lol, this is pure imagination

So take what you can and look at them in UFA. This all stems from that they think they can make the playoffs and this gives them an out with the moron fans.

He’s been talking year that the Canucks have been pushing to get this done, and questioned if the offer on the table really was $12m (it wasn’t)

After the fact reporting. He had Pettersson going out of town. Never saw the deal coming together.

Friedman is obviously the most connected guy in the NHL now since Bob McKenzie retired. You don’t shill for the league when bad shit happens off the ice for nothing.

A trade doesn’t have to happen for teams to have discussed things behind the scenes. He’s not throwing darts at a dartboard like Eklund. If he’s talking about something it’s because someone close to the situation is telling him that.

It wasn't after the fact at all. He literally broke the story about the Canucks exploring trades for Petterrson, that directly lead to Petterrson signing a few days later after saying all season he wanted to wait till the summer.

Your arguments make no sense.

You can’t trust all that he says though. The guy comes off like a hack and bullshitter to me. But if he does hear something accurate from a reliable source he will report it and pricing Laughton too high certainly seems likely.

There really hasn’t been a ton of movement on Walker tier players. Seems more like a traditional deadline day this year.

But "He gets us!" ... like a wolf gets the flock.

I’m sure teams leak stuff to him if need to and he reports it. But he’s not The NY Times.

Others covered the story more accurately than he did. Some included trade specifics, some of which may or may not have been true. Of course the Canucks were going to attempt to resign Pettersson. Since when would that be a news flash. It would take a max contract. Again no news flash. The Canucks announced the deal and EF pops in with a breaking news report.

Agents more likely than teams in negotiations but both use the press to push things their way.

Friedman was on Chiclets and pretty much said they priced Laughton off the market. Some old with Seeler and Walker that he’s said on his podcast.

They ain’t trading anyone.

Michkov's career will be wasted. It is good that they are sticking to tradition. It is good that the same people running the same team are the same that they've always been because change is scary. Comfort is good and healthy.

Congrats, you got nearly everything wrong.

It didn't take a max contract. Max would be 8 x $16,700,000.

The Canucks had been trying to extend Petterrson all season, and he had refused to let his agents negotiate. The breaking news, that no one but Friedman reported, was that this impasse had led to the Canucks exploring trading him.

Friedman's breaking news came on 2/29. The contract wasn't signed until 3/2.

3 days to the trade deadline and no one out there is reporting any smoke on the Flyers trading away anyone.

There is still time, but it's not looking good. Eagerly anticipating the "all you do is complain" crowd and how they polish this particular turd.

That crowd insists on positivity at all times so I'm very confident they will apologize to everyone they screamed at that ended up being right.

If we trade him we won't have to worry about that !!!

Frank apparently said this morning on his show the Flyers are likely leaning towards extending Walker & Seeler fwiw. Seeler apparently asking for $4x4.
Jesus Christ !!!!!

Imagine giving your 3rd pair D that amount of money.

Risto, Seeler and Walker will be making north of 15 mill next year.

Flyers have a terrible PP and are down two RHD.

The Canes have made Angelo available for a 5th.

So does Briere add a familiar face to help chase the playoff dream? I assume it's legal under the CBA to trade for a player you bought out.
