Laughton for Kakko?
Depends on the scouts' responsibilities. An advanced scout generally does pro scouting which encapsulates the upcoming game but he could also be there to offer analysis on a specific player to those more inclined to make the final decision on an acquisition.Wouldn't the 2 scouts be more likely a result of fact Rangers and Flyers play game in a few days?
I could be wrong given the state of journalism but I would imagine that the people reporting on the list would know the person's responsibilityWouldn't the 2 scouts be more likely a result of fact Rangers and Flyers play game in a few days?
The TNT crew mentioned whether the Bruins would part with a goalie in essence yo upgrade the center position for their PO run.
I think both things can be true but I think a lot weight is placed on scouts attending games during this time of year but if is an NHL game I don't think you read too much into it. Now, the smoke around scouting AHL teams is a different story. I believe there is a lot of chatter about the Flyers maybe scouting the Manitoba Moose? That would be a lot more of an indicator that something is brewing in the form of a trade.Wouldn't the 2 scouts be more likely a result of fact Rangers and Flyers play game in a few days?
Perreault for LaughtonThey picked the right team that overvalues what Laughton brings. We’ll see if they can bear to part with their cultural demigod and to a division rival yet. Obviously, the Rangers have 2 interesting prospects besides the 1st.
Swayman probably doesn’t take another one year deal. He is probably going to want north of 6 or 7 per. He is a RFA this summer but I could see them dealing Ulmark. What that gets them for a Center? I don’t knowThe TNT crew mentioned whether the Bruins would part with a goalie in essence to upgrade the center position for their PO run.
It's ironic that a player named Stanley has neither tools nor a toolbox.Scouting Jets again last night, if it is Stanley that may be my death blow as a fan.
He fought last night too,,,,
IMO Briere will make some moves. Laughton and Walker will get traded; possibly Seeler as well. The Flyers want first rounders in return but might just settle for a young potential 2C. It might necessitate a three team deal. After seeing the machinations involved with the Provorov deal, you can see that Briere can get creative in order to get what he wants. You just get the sneaky feeling that they’ll end up being forced to stand pat. A lot of this and that about them listening to offers, and looking for high picks/ready prospects, but zero rumours that other teams are actually still interested or have made any concrete offers.
I think Dylan McIlrath might still be under contract? Hugh Jessiman? If Laughton is traded to the Rangers, Matt Rempe is coming back to the Flyers.
It would be worth it if this was 2023 and we were rebuilding and wanted to roll the dice on a guy after perceived success with Tippett, and we were rebuilding, but this is not a rebuild. Is Kakko still worth it? My buddy who is a Rags fan jumped at the idea of Laughton for Kakko.
Michkov is coming anyways so someone is changing positions, and I’m not convinced it’s not MichkovThe only issue with Kakko is he's yet another RW. Perhaps though if Atkinson gets put out to pasture you could slot him into that 3RW slot, but then what do you do with Brink? Can any of Tippett, Konecny, Brink or Kakko successfully play LW at a high level?
#rebuild complete..Read that Pat Brisson (Nick Seeler’s agent) confirmed with TSN Insider Trading that the Flyers and Nick Seeler are looking to have a contract extension in place before the trade deadline takes place. I don’t think anyone met the asking price the flyers had and they weren’t willing to budge.
