and then they will slump..go on a losing streak..miss out on both playoffs and the chance to trade good pieces and pick like..15th
Then sign more Poehling and Staal types in the summer.

Friedman on 32 thoughts repeating the nonsense about not messing with the room we have heard from Charlie and others.
A rebuilding team doesn't change direction after 2 months. So dumb

It depends what the offers for Walker are. If teams are willing to give up at least a 2nd for him, you take that and runIf they can move on from Risto, I would be happy.
Signing Walker to a mid-length deal isn't the worst idea. I agree, it would be on the best year of his career, and if they can't move Risto, then I'd move Walker in that scenario.
But my priority would be to move Risto. I like what Walker brings and the way he plays, and that can be a help in the development of how the team and other players play as well. Risto, to me, adds no value.
Remember when we signed Dale Weise to a atrocious deal, cause he scored 2 games in a row vs us!Sometimes it only takes one game for a team to decide to re-sign someone.
That fabled Caps game. Stuff of legend.

I'll take pretty much anything if it means Ristolainen is dealtThis team never knows when to sell high. You got a camp dump and turned him into a (maybe?) first round pick. Take it and make a run at him again in July.
That said, I will take a Walker in season extension if it meant Risto was dealt.
Careful here. Who aside from Chuckles the Clown is going to give the Flyers anything of value for Risto? To move him the Flyers are either going to eat a lot of retention or take back a contract as awful as his is. He’s our albatross.I'll take pretty much anything if it means Ristolainen is dealt
I thought it was Weise with Montreal. But i dont have found anything about thatI thought that was Jody Shelley?

Parenteau and Dale Weise each scored twice while David Desharnais and P.K. Subban also scored for Atlantic Division-leading Montreal.
And add those assets to the Provy haul. Then deal Risto and bring up Grans and Attard. It depends what the offers for Walker are. If teams are willing to give up at least a 2nd for him, you take that and run
Leafs?Elliotte Friedman on 32 Thoughts segment tonight said at least one team has asked about Sean Walker and Nick Seeler together in a package.
On Walker:
"Put himself in a great position for himself moving forward in his career. Maybe a little tougher for us contract wise"
"Trying to get out of that rut where we make the playoffs one year, we miss ... trying to build team that will be contenders for years to come, not just for one year. Plan hasn't changed"
I don't believe that he will. Any reasonable evaluation will show that this club is short on viable prospects at key areas. For one they are weak down the middle and, two, the defense is a mirage. Those are not the components of a successful franchise. Briere knows this. He's been around the game long enough to know that the club is one hit to Couturier to be a mess up front like last season or for reality to hit on the back end when Walker makes demands that are not reasonable and has to be dealt out leaving the defense in shambles. It's been a nice run so far this season but it's an unreliable one. The organizational roster is too thin in talent. DB's biggest job right now is going to keep Tortorella under control and it won't be an easy one.bullshit.. he will cave and be a buyer if they are close to PO come cutoff..
