Edmonton’s 2024 1st round pick unprotected or with limited protection say only the top 5 would be a decent main piece in a trade for Hart. The Oilers are 10 points out and even if they make a remarkable run to the playoffs, the pick would still be in the teens at worst. I doubt there is deal out there with a higher 1st for Hart.

If they get in, they’ll be rolling, I’d expect them to win at least one round in that scenario.

Not a whole lot.

1) Happy with the young players progress - obvious ones like Sanheim. Didn’t expect Walker to be this good. Didn’t expect to be near playoff hunt at this point. Tysons off the puck play is excellent. Didn’t comment on lack of scoring.

2) Torts owns all lineup decisions, full stop, but said they are always disscussed. Not sure he’s on the same page here because he threw all accountability on Torts for Frost.

3) Getting a lot of calls on trade assets, but doesn’t expect much to happen this early.

4) Very happy with the progression of 2023 prospects. Expecting Gauthier to be ready at end of his season (turn pro).

5) Believer of analytics but not an expert. Beefed up staff.

Danny B clearly talking out of his ass when talking about Frost. Said Cates and Poehling are playing different roles than Frost.... Poehling and Cates are today's middle 6 centers. It really drives me nuts when they say shit like this.

As long as they don’t win two rounds, the pick will still be in the teens. There is risk but it could also be around 10 too. The time to trade Hart is ticking away and I don’t see a better main piece than that first rounder for a goaltender.

Walker, Seeler, Hathaway, and Staal should all be gone by the TDL. Laughton,TK, and possibly Hart by the Draft.

His most used lines since his arrival are: "If i being honest" and "we dont expect that", "i was suprised", "i dont know".

None of this phrases are a good look for someone who needs to build a professional franchise! How can he be suprised that Brink is a NHL player? How can he be suprised Foerster is not only a shooter?
How can he be suprised Zamula showing signs of solid NHL Gameplay (he has shown it before!).

Briere is a little kid in a world of dinos!
