Ivan Provorov says it has been “really refreshing” to be on a team “that can make plays and is allowed to make plays.”

That would raise two questions:
1) Is the player in condition, if not, character issues that need to be addressed
2) If yes, then a fundamental genetic limitation that can't be fixed, some bodies simply can run at high RPM for longer than others

theres a treatment plan for everything, sometimes lactic acid can build up just from sitting on the bench too long between shifts so it can be a simple fix, but theres also pills and shit you can take so as long theyre monitoring it game to game and practice to practice im sure theyll figure it out

Frost getting some play on the 32 Thoughts pod. Teams starting to check in but the Flyers don’t seem keen. Doesn’t sound like a trade request, but Elliotte pushing how Frost has always done everything he’s been asked to do.
Which says they're not unhappy with him.

They could get a nice return if they wanted to move him, Dubois was unhappy and got himself benched and that didn't hurt his trade value.

It's a fortunate dilemma for Briere. Brink and Foerster have played above expectations, Farabee has rebounded, Couts and Atkinson seem close to 100%. I think one reason for signing Hathaway and Poehling was the worry he couldn't ice 9 NHL caliber forwards and wanted veteran depth (instead of rushing 2nd tier prospects) - now he has (10) top 9 forwards.

Only 7 games, something will give in the near future, but Briere shouldn't make hasty decisions.

Torts: "I don't want to play him."
Teams: "How about we trade for him?"
Flyers management: "Nah, it's okay if we ruin him. You'll not want him soon enough because he won't be playing."

I'm not saying the couldn't get something nice for him. The acquiring team would have control for a few more years, so that's inherently worth more than just the player.

But PLD was also coming off (basically) back to back 60 point seasons, and drafted 3rd overall. Frost has had a decent junior pedigree, but hasn't been spectacular statistically since turning pro.

In general, the fact that the situation is getting national attention is going to bring much more attention unless Frost is played, and played consistently. NBC Sports Philly posted a quick video about it last night. It's now twice in a row that it's mentioned on 32 thoughts. Frost and his agent aren't going to be okay for sitting for two plus weeks (because you know after that win he's not getting put in on Saturday). It's inevitable that if this continues he's going to ask for a trade. I don't know how long, but I can't imagine that Frost's agent doesn't pick up the phone and call Briere, if that hasn't already happened.

If only we had a 29 year old playing C that we could trade for a 1st+ to free up a spot for Frost.

If only we had a 34 year old RW we could trade so Foerster or Tippett could play their natural position. Moving Laughton to LW so Frost can play C.

if only we didn't a 31 year old RW AND allowed a 4th line to contribute offensively.

Clearly scratching your 2nd best C is the only option.
