It will come I’m sure. We had a good draft and should hopefully only add more picks to this upcoming draft. They should go BPA, but if it’s a draw then go center and D. Hopefully they are looking at way to get 2nds and looking at great Dmen there. Seems to be some of the best draft value in hockey, non 1st round top pair Dmen.
ya im not too worried, this draft is loaded with defense, its kinda light on high end centers but if we finish low enough theres a few. We should be able to draft at least 1 impact player if nothing else changes. We're getting the extra 2nd from the jay obrien thing too, but having a couple extra 1st/2nds is never a bad idea

Frost is next up on the "gone" column...

#bankit
frost and hart I think are going somewhere, Id put money on Hart being moved. Id like to see Frost for another season first so maybe he goes at the deadline but I think Harts going somewhere once the report comes out. maybe jail, maybe another team. who knows #NewEraOrange

I think you should always draft BPA but if it’s somewhat close next draft I’d go Dman. Obviously you can trade a forward prospect for a D prospect but I have a feeling that is something that would burn the Flyers. I don’t think the future is as dire as some here make it out to be. We have 2 top prospects, legit blue chip guys, and a bunch of potentially good young depth players. Just have to build up that defensive core. Easier said than done, though. It would be huge if Cutter or Michkov stick at center. Flyers are still probably 3+ years away unless someone surprises in a great way. I think they are trending in the right direction, we haven’t seen any of those overpaid middle six guys so that tells me management is somewhat realistic now

2 top prospects that project as 1st line impact guys. I dont think theres another team with a better top 2 prospects than Cutter Gauthier and Matvei Michkov. If we had tanked in 2022 we probably end up with Shane Wright instead of Cutter and based on how their D1 seasons went, id rather have Gauthier in the pipeline. Matvei was the next best thing to drafting Bedard this year, so all things considered id say things have shaken out just fine to start a rebuild

I don't think anyone expects Florida to be a top team again, too many injuries and uncertainty in net. But they also likely won't be terrible.

I can see us picking 4-7 and then once again 20-25. That should help the pipeline quite a bit. And I wouldn't be surprised if we land another first before year end.

In a perfect world? Demidov, Florida picks 11th and we get Dickinson

Ive seen rankings boards that have Adam Jiricek in the 20s and if we can get him too, I'd be more than happy, but demidov and dickinson would be amazing. As long as we dont go for an offensive defenseman with no defense, I'll be happy

if they don't get at a 1 minimum one more 1st (or high end prospect) then it will make for good conversation.

i think the most first rounds in a single year was 5 by montreal and a few teams have had 4 picks in the 90s, and looking at the recent drafts boston kinda shit the bed when they had 3 picks. id be okay with 1 more first this year if its draft day and we move up to take someone that fell down and it only costs some 2nds

Just for grins, if we get the third pick, do you go with Demidov because of his chemistry with Michkov, or do you go Kiviharju?
i think by the end of the year Kiviharju falls out of the top 10, hes already fallen considerably I dont think many scouts see him as top 5 anymore

We have (2) 1st, (2) 2nds, (2) 6rhs next year, extra 5th in 2025.
So a few deals and we can have double digit picks both years.

If Walker bounces back from his ACL, he could garner a good return at the TDL, Laughton, Seeler, Poehling, Allison.
That's before a potential TK or Hart deal (not if he's suspended).

he already did bounce back by playing last season. He will have some value no doubt as long as he is in the lineup. They are rebuilding and all!!!!! Same with Seeler if in the pressbox what will he get back?

What value will Allison have? Right now he is a fringe player to make the team.

We've rebuilt depth in the organization, what we need is a top center (unless Michkov makes that transition, that would be huge), and a 1st pair RHD.
Add those two, and everyone else is pushed down to where they are better fits.
We are getting demidov so we're set on a top center prospect (manifesting it)

we also need some of these young guys to come in and become leaders like Mike Richards did. Whether its a center or a wing we need some leaders, maybe Gauthier comes in and becomes that player, maybe Owen Tippet does it, but someones gotta step up in that regard on top of being a top end player. Thats part of what made the 2003 class so special, so many future captains and leaders

Hello, we have Rasmus Ristolainen, he was made for the playoffs (so I've been told) he's a warrior

18 months is the usual timetable for complete recovery from an ACL in most sports, players come back in less than a year but often add speed the second season back (probably as much mental as physical, more confidence in the knee).

Allison, if he stays healthy and plays like last season will have mid-round pick value.
MacEwen brought back a 5th, Brown a 7th, a healthy Allison is worth more.

If Alison isn't on the team what is his value. as you said mid rd pick at best which is fine at this point. you made it sound like it would be something better

Walker will no doubt have value and should play his 18 minutes a night like he was prior to the injury.

This is from Orest Kindrachuk’s kid. If this were any other organization, I’d say this guy was clout chasing, but since it’s the Flyers I can absolutely believe that they let some of their alums know the results of the investigation and Orest got a little loose lipped talking to family members.

Explains why he wasn't traded. Very on brand for the organization to finally have a franchise goalie then the team falls off a cliff then, then he loses all value because he's a piece of shit human.

Yeah I'm gonna wait a minute, the "telephone game via family team connection" method isn't always exactly reliable.

Just release the stupid report.
I always wanted him or his team to put out a more legitimate denial of involvement but, yeah, I’m not going to take this as fact all because the son of Orest Kindrachuk says so.
