I really cant see Hart being involved in something like this, but I guess you never know.
Here it comes....
If NHL names and suspends players allegedly involved, affected players would likely appeal any sanctions to an arbitrator, as per CBA, and may pursue defamation lawsuits vs league, said agent of one player who attended 2018 Hockey Canada gala.
(While an investigating officer in October wrote in court documents he believes there are grounds to charge at least five players, police in London continue to decline comment other than to say an investigation is ongoing.)
something about this just feels like they are trying to bury itThis still doesn't say, or imply, when the report is actually coming out...
If and that is a huge if Hart is implicated in the disgusting incident, I want Hart’s contract terminated. I have zero tolerance for that kind of stupidity. If Briere isn't going to trade him or any of the other players that will hurt our pick meaningfully, maybe Hart getting suspended for the upcoming season wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
Welcome to the NHL.something about this just feels like they are trying to bury it
Where is our disadvantage. On their defense, imagine trying to promote a team when:
The only prospect with superstar potential won’t arrive til 2026 or perhaps never
The coach is arguably the biggest asshole in the NHL
The medical staff is incompetent
The GM has no experience
The team president was hired because he knows a lot of people and is fun at parties.
The owner is a multi billion dollar conglomerate that might not even be aware that they own an NHL franchise
Good luck!
What is being overreacted to at this moment?Que the overreaction from HFBoards
Pretty much. If that ends up being the case, get him the f*** off this team.If and that is a huge if Hart is implicated in the disgusting incident, I want Hart’s contract terminated. I have zero tolerance for that kind of stupidity.
I know it's a pretty common response to situations, but learned a long time ago to never bother saying this.I really cant see Hart being involved in something like this, but I guess you never know.
If I'm wrong, please correct me. So much of the reporting of this incident so far has been hazy but I don't recall Hart giving a clear and hard denial regarding his possible involvement in these things.
The things that the Flyers have been doing with goalies over the last six weeks sure do look as if they are preparing for not having Hart around either by trade or suspension. Picking up Petersen from the Kings is a salary dump but then with Hart and Ersson on the roster as well, it makes no sense to carry three NHL caliber goaltenders. Sandstrom can go back to LV but putting one of the other three down there with him makes no sense. Add to this the signing of Kolosov and possibly still being able to get Fedotov along with the drafting of a couple more goaltenders and it looks like someone is leaving Philadelphia.
His agent put out a statement denying culpability which was filled with a bunch of lawyer talk with a bunch of grey area.If I'm wrong, please correct me. I dont disagree with anything you said.I know it's a pretty common response to situations, but learned a long time ago to never bother saying this.
There are very few people in your life who you actually 'know', and celebrities, athletes are almost always not on that list (unless you're related to one).
You usually see what people want you to see. I've had relatives that I've sat across a table from do shocking things. I've had friends I thought I was close to who seemed completely fine and happy suddenly take their own life.
So some random athlete having been part of a group sexual assault type situation with alcohol likely heavily involved? Can't really say it shocks me whoever is named.
imagine thinking this isnt something to react to...What is being overreacted to at this moment?
Hockey Canada isn't going to get away with burying it, so the NHL is going to have a hard time ignoring the report. The entire HC Board and Mgmt got fired by the Canadian Government, which pulled its funding over the hush money payment slush fund.something about this just feels like they are trying to bury it
That’s as I remember it as well. One would think that if he was clean in this mess that he would have issued a strong denial. His agent put out a statement denying culpability which was filled with a bunch of lawyer talk with a bunch of grey area.

From lawyer Scott K. Fenton, speaking for Clague, Bean and Hart: “None of the players you reference engaged in any wrongdoing, all of the players co-operated fully with the independent London Police Service investigation in 2018, and all players were then cleared of any wrongdoing.”
Did the police REALLY clear those players of wrongdoing? I'm not sure if that's just lawyer speak or verified.More players step forward in Hockey Canada sex assault investigation
Coyotes defenceman Connor Timmins is the 14th player from Canada’s 2018 world junior team of 22 to comment publicly. Some have proclaimed innocence. Most have promised co-operation.www.thestar.com
Guess we will find outDid the police REALLY clear those players of wrongdoing? I'm not sure if that's just lawyer speak or verified.
That would mean he was complicit in the rape and assault of a girl. There aren't much worse things in the world. If Briere isn't going to trade him or any of the other players that will hurt our pick meaningfully, maybe Hart getting suspended for the upcoming season wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
