So, being rational adults, we could just emphasize that. Pretty sure, based on the response, he thought you were saying the eventual call benefitted him.
Really?
Sorry the ref's obvious mistake worked out in MY favour? Explain how exactly. The Sabres goal was taken away and they ended up on the PK. How exactly is that in MY favour?
He is either implying that the correct call that eventually was made is THE mistake or is terrible at reading comprehension. But I guess white-knighting for no real reason is the "rational adult" MO.

Yes, really. Pretty sure that's how he read it. No reason for a stupid semantic argument. But, that might be me. I prefer these main board threads to be more a place for less silly arguing.

So..you agree, he doesn't belong in the NHL. I'd rather Cozens than him
Reaves had basically retired after Vegas did not re-sign him and was content to run his new bar in Vegas, and it only when Gallant thought the Rangers needed senior leadership that he was brought out of the dustbin. That was three years ago and he was fully cooked then.

I'm amazed that he's still here. What's his contract? Must be bad if they haven't bought him out yet

Yeah Tre did the same here. He wanted someone who was “loud” and good in the room so he signed him for too much and too long even though it was clear to anyone that has seen him play he was done.

Like if we wanted someone who was a shadow of their former self, can’t skate but can still punch faces we should have just resigned Simmonds. At least we wouldn’t have had to give him term. And he might actually fight once in a while.

Not that I like Toronto but I think they could be doing a lot better with his roster spot. Guy is useless at this point in his career
Not disagreeing, but proud the kid still is prepping for retirement. In one year of work, he brings in more than most of us do in 20. Despite Toronto taxes.

So the Panthers are shut out by Canucks and Flames, then score six against Edmonton and Wild each, and then struggle to score more than 1 goal at home against tired Blues. Interesting team that one.

It's an 82 game season. The Cats have scored 6 goals in about a third of their games this season. But this is the regular season. In sum, goalies can have good and bad games. And that's not counting the shots the Blues have blocked. They're playing well.

When you're the defending Cup champs, everybody brings their "A" game against you when you're on the road (and too often at home). It's a big deal for their fans and so the players give it their best.

For the defending Cup champs, not so much. It's a struggle to play at such a high level on a long road trip and basically you end up getting up for some games and sleepwalking through some others.

Know this all too well from how Vegas went through last season as the defending Cup champs. Some nights you play like Tarzan, and some nights you play like Jane.
