I would LOVE to hear/see this interview. Youtube wizards please work your magic.

Also, I am the only one that is surprised that one player can use the exact same move 4 times in a row in a shootout over such a short period of time and get away with it? You would think in professional sports where every little detail is under extreme scrutiny that the goalkeeping coach and starting goalie would have a look at the potential penalty shootout participants before the game? I know this is common practice in soccer at least, knowing the habits of the potential penalty taker.

Not that I'm complaining or anything, just find it strange

I fear Zuc will be a liability come play off time as he is totally lost in the D zone. Play off hockey is first D responsibility with intense physical play......... then offense.

I give him credit for trying but not sure he helps us down the playoff road. Different game in playoff's. He is a shootout specialist for sure.....do they have shoot outs in the play off?...........he reminds me of Dawes but smaller........We did not keep Dawes around come playoff time.

I will simply agree to disagree... I see a player that hustles back, breaks up plays on defense, and may, with his continued development, be a key player for this team for years to come. And in those years I expect playoff appearances with him performing.

negative ghost rider. i have never for one minute thought Dawes when seeing Zuc. Dawes doesn't nearly have the upside or potential of Zuc.

put it this way, i don't think Dawes could ever be the top player in the Elite league.

Prucha?! Dawes?! The awkward comparisons keep on coming.

Let's put it this way. Zuccarello hasn't been invisible for one single game yet. You notice him when he's in the offensive zone. Not like Prucha, certainly not like Dawes who was good noticable in 1 out of every 12th game. And he's not a defensive liability like Dawes constantly was.

You can't compare them, because Zuke has such good ice vision and hockey smartness.

"Holtby havnet faktisk både til side for målet og bak mållinjen. Det var ikke fordi han hadde så lyst på pølser. Det var fordi han ble fintet ut etter alle kunstens regler."

Quote from nettavisen.no again: Something like this

"Holtby actually ended up to the side of the goal and behind the goal-line. It was not because he had such a craving for hot dogs, but because he got deked out to all the rules of art of hockey."

We have a saying in mainly soccer, but most teamsports.

"Fintet ut i pølsebua"

"Deaked out in(to) the hotdog-stand"

Edit: Actually it would be nice with a wallpaper with Zuccarello deaking and "Fintet ut i pølsebua" as text.

10 points in the last 11 games. He had only 1 point in the first 5 games because he was started out slowly by Torts, but this kid has been looking for real.

The kid is no joke. I don't see him going down unless he loses confidence suddenly. I don't see him do anything wrong. He's "ok" or good every shift.

And Boyle scores as I am typing this. He should legally change his name to Mario Lemieux.

Oh, and it looks like Zucca got another assist, so he's got 11 points in 11 games. Yeah, let's send a guy back to the AHL when he's scoring a point a game.

sounds even better saying 2 points a game after adjusting to the NHL in the first 5 ^^

No, no, he hasn't had 2 points a game. He had 1 point in the first 5 games, then came into his own for 11 points in the next 11 games. His total is 12 points in 16 games.

But after adjusting for 5 games (amazing in and of itself that it took only 5 games), he's been a point per game scorer. Not bad.

Is this normal? Having that number of points this early in a rookie career after a call up?

Yeah, it's normal to score that much as a rookie who was just called up... if you are playing in the National Basketball League.

Is this a joke?

- He's not lost in his own zone at all. He's fine. The only issues I've seen are he isn't always sure which man to pick up on the backcheck.

- He is nothing like Dawes in any way, shape, or form. Period.

- Your entire post is a pointless, joke and it seems very likely that you came here with a clear agenda to put him down because you're either a Devils fan, or you wanted to see what kind of response you could get out of people. Well here's my response: You don't know hockey.

I really had no idea what to expect from Zuc, but he has totally impressed me. Constantly making things happen or some how being there when things do happen. No doubt about it at this point, the guys a player

Yeah, lets call it the "hotdog move"

Is that 15 points in 17 games for Zuc? Nuts.

Also, I posted this in the PDT for today's game but I feel like it should go here too. He's really a class act. Stayed to take pictures and sign stuff with us who waited for him, and shot the **** with us while doing so. Really nice guy and I can only hope he can keep up his play. Consider me a big fan.

edit- I was wrong.it's 12 in 16. Still, pretty nuts.
