I would have been happy if he ended the season with 30pts. The fact that he could/can finish with 40+pts is crazy!
I like the Thornton 41 points number because Thornton also had the 1OA pressure in a big hockey market. He’s also a very big boy like Slaf so had to go through some similar growing pains that some big players have. To me 41 points means Slaf’s right on schedule.

Hey, in november he said Roy was better than Slaf. Ça ne s'invente pas. But to his defense, he was one of too many posters thinking that.

The organisation was wrong and had the wrong player in the AHL apparently.
To be fair, Slaf wasnt lighting it up in the NHL early in the season and Roy was destroying the AHL. I don't think there were many who thought Roy would be better than Slaf in the long run.

Watching this and Slaf right now he’s starting to look similar in the NHL dominating possession like he was back then.

I even watched his 7 olympic goals again the other day for fun
Seeing what he looks like today, that vid looks better and better honestly

You could really see how special a player he could potentially be even despite some of the competition

6th actually, but my description was pretty much "listen he has a lot of things to work on but he has the highest potential "

I didn't trust HuGo but i gotta say they did well I think.
A classic from yours right below.

Slaf amazing turnaround. Has 9 points in 6 February games.

Has the first line going. Habs need second line next year. Dach gets back, Newhook looks like top 6 winger. Need to add a top scorer this off season.

Let's win the lottery this year, get Draisaitl in 25/26 and call it a day. :naughty:
Throw in Crosby for his swansong while we're at it.
Yes, I've been drinking, lol, but don't tell me that wouldn't be fun!

I've been watching games on and off the last month or so....kids, work, life...I don't have as much free time as I used to. The parts of the game I did catch last night were impressive from Slafkovsky. He had the puck on a string a few times and the stick handling had shades of Jagr. Crazy how far he's come and how high his confidence is at the moment. The 7 shots on net are a huge improvement compared to what we saw at the start of the season.

I would hate to cap this type of player in terms of points as his potential is huge. As a Habs fan, you almost have to pinch yourself as we see this type of development for prospects on other teams but rarely ours.

NHL's top scorers for February, with Nick and Juraj right up there. Not a coincidence Suzuki is having his best season and been red-hot since his young wingman caught fire.
