For everyone or just Florida? Does debrincat start scoring at a 50 goal pace? Lol
Considering the Panthers have the 2nd worst Goals scored above expected at -32 and the senators are 4th at -25, if both team's shooting regresses to the mean, the Panthers are still a lot better. But do you

Again, another thing that was prematurely rubbed in Leaf fans faces when he went over to the Sens.

I wonder if Sacco might be a possibility. I can't imagine he wants to be an assistant in Boston forever.
Huh? I don't remember the fanbase ever being enthusiastic about the DJ hire. Most of us assumed we were going to hire the cheapest option possible with Melnyk, who pretty much went on the record and said he wouldn't pay a lot for a coach because it takes away from player payroll.

Players like DJ a lot but I've never seen anything resembling structure with him.

No, I've actually been throwing shade at Batherson all year. I just don't like the player. His interview early in the year was pathetic when he said "I'm living the life as an NHL player." He showed no remorse whatsoever for the victim.

As for Tkachuk, he's literally never won anything, so yeah I think he could cary himself differently on the ice. He's the captain of an NHL team, so in my opinion he should act like it. It makes it easy to laugh at your, what is it, 6 game losing streak now, because he's your leader. It's funny.

Sens fans absolutely love to dish it out, but when someone fires back, you guys get all defensive and hurt lol. If you're gonna dish it out, learn to take it too!

Lol I know, we've discussed it in person lmao I was just trying to get a rise!

If the Sens had Gustavsson over Talbot, they probably make the playoffs.

Doubt it.

Do you think Gustavsson just got 10 times better in the offseason, or do you think environments have a lot more to do with the quick a drastic difference?

Like, did Joseph go from a 4th liner to a 1st liner back down to a 3rd liner, or was the situation just very favourable for him to get a ppg last year to finish the year by playing on the top line and getting fed a bunch of pp time?

Hmm?

It sucks, but expected with injuries and DJ “I don’t know how to start the season” Smith. IF we stay relatively healthy and get average goaltending next year we can probably make it.

The D-corps is good enough (on paper) and we have a #1 centre who has 99 points in his last 82 games. Now we need to actually play with some sort of structure. I expect Julien or Boudreau behind the bench after the sale is done. I think they should give Andrew Brunette a call too.

I'd aim a bit higher.

Julien's rep gets alot of mileage but I don't find him to be a great coach. Brunette is a small sample size. I was unimpressed with him in the playoffs.

Boudreau probably gives them an instant bump, but not really a guy known to deliver in the playoffs.

Post in thread 'Predict the Atlantic Standings' Predict the Atlantic Standings

@topshelf15

 you're now 6 pts back of FLA with no games in hand...
They are done. 7 points back of penguins for last playoff spot and having to leap frog over buffalo Washington Florida and Pittsburgh.
It’s impossible to make the playoffs. These teams all play each other so you may catch one or two but all 4 can’t possibly lose ever game.

Impossible is not the correct word, but realistically they need to win 12 or even 13 of their remaining 13 games. Not happening but not impossible.

Impossible even if they win all their games
The 4 teams all play each other at times and they all cant lose every game. Thats why its so hard to gain if you are 4 teams out.
If they were the first or second team back then there is a chance. no chance they can leapfrog 4 teams

So you're saying it's mathematically impossible for the Sens to make the playoffs, even if they end up with 97 points through winning all remaining games? I don't believe it. I don't believe that 2 of Pittsburgh, NYI, Florida, Wash and Buff are guaranteed 97 points based on their remaining schedules.
