The Saint Mikael Granlund hypetrain part 2 (saucer passes turning to wine!)

why were granlund-granlund split up again? didnt they play fairly well together the last couple games?
 
Because Mi. Granlund and Pesonen have been welded together and Matikainen wanted to test Peltonen on Mikael's side again. To be honest, I don't think VP-MG should've ever been separated. They were doing alright at the beginning of the season.
 
Just doesn't make sense that now that Granlund-Granlund-Pesonen was working so well they get seperated. Pity saipa didn't win, 12 shots on goal with that team is pathetic
 
Mikael 1+1 in a 3-1 win over Pelicans tonight. Now has 8+20=28 with the +/- of +9 in 23 games so far this season.
 
Someone watching the tell me wtf is going on?
Few line brawls? SM-liiga first?
 
Penalties still coming... First time in SM-liiga to have fighting of this magnitude? Awesome!! Looking forward for footage!
 
Granlund has a pretty decent wrister nowadays, could be quicker (usually a rather broad sweeping motion) but it seems to work anyway, at least against FEL goalies (and at international level). Should use it more often although his passes are, of course, usually ingenious.

Yes, it seems simply that Granlund is outright the best player in FEL now - if there is any sense in the notion in the first place. It's idle fun for him to play in Sm-liga still...

That wrister gave Hifk a right to the locker room selection in the Finland's Winter Classic which will be played in February. Players from Hifk and Jokerit had to shoot pucks through the holes in a tarp to the goal. Granlund shot all the five pucks into the net. Pulkkinen scored only four.

E: So Pulkkinen and Lahti together scored 4. Granlund was pretty outstanding.

Also, I think it was Pulkkinen and Lahti combined, who scored four. Granlund replied that he had home ice advantage, because he had practised against the same goalie in the past, so he's still a bust nevertheless.
