He is actually much less slow than people claim.

Not a Concorde though, but as we all know they don't produce Concords anymore.

Yes, he seemed pretty decent in terms of speed at EHT. In fact, he seemed pretty good there. Actually he showed glimpses of greatness in those games. In fact, he was quite impressive. i would say he was better than i expected. must admit he is just damn smart player. i would say he is the best finnish prospect atm. more than that, i think he is the best finnish player atm. in the end, i think he is the best finnish player ever. no matter what.

Best player all time ? :sarcasm:

I think that Granlund is close to Mikko Koivu, offensively he's way ahead Mikko Koivu. Can't understand why people call him slow. He was not anymore, he's closer being fast than slow IMO. Give him 1-2 years and he will be best finnish player. He has actualy same size with skinner bit taller, yes small but not that small what people thinks. He has quite stocky build.

I can see a siemen of truth there!

What if he fails miserably? These threads would become so epic :D

there was a time i thought so, too. that he might fail miserably and all this hype would look just ridiculous. and i said it out loud.

but granlund has proved me wrong. no doubt he has all it takes-. he won't fail.

Is this sarcastic? I can't tell anymore because there are so many fanboys for the new flavour of the week.

Granlund ever better then Selanne or Kurri? :help:

Well, to be fair, those aren't even the best/most talented Finns of all time.

Matti Hagman is the most gifted Finn to ever play the game.

1st Jarmo Wasama - noone comes even remotely close

2nd Reijo Ruotsalainen - If NHL would have been more open for Europeans there would be a new guy in top 10 of alltime. He led Rangers in points as a D.

3rd Teemu Selänne - The best offencive player from Finland ever.

4th Jari Kurri - a proven winner who had a magical onetimer and Selke worthy 2-way game. Would be ahead of Teemu but once the age kicked in he became irrelevant.

5th This is a tough one.... Maybe Matti Hagman fits here.

I give you Ruotsalainen, and maybe Wasama. He died too young for us to really tell his true level.

But Hagman gets the nod over Kurri and maybe Selänne too.

If we are talking about talent only, I think there is no way Wasama can be passed. What is the reasoning for Hagman over Kurri and Selänne because I was tempted to write Tikkanen as 5th. We never really saw what he could do since his knee was already destroyed once he entered NHL. Saku Koivu should aswell make a decent runnerup for the 5th if we talk about talen.

Psh, how dare you disrespect him with such modest predictions. Especially in this worthless goals stat you speak of.

After that Hfboards staff rank him outside of top 50 prospect.

Tonights prediction Granlund 3-5pts. He's mad because team is losing all the time.

Biggest problem of Granlund he isn't good old Canadian kid.. he doesn't have intangibles and hasn't shoveled snow in his life.

Isn't he from Raahe? That's like a mile away from the northpole. I'm sure he has done some shoveling.
