granlund is special because he gets so much talk here. and that is not to say he wouldn't be special. he is a very interesting player, to say the least.

give any aspect of his game and it will generate discussion. for example his saucer pass. if i happen to write a frisky footnote about his passing technique it will make "headlines" the next day.
-----------------
This reminds me of granlund's wrister. he seems to prefer the "classic" wrist short with broader sweeping motion, rather than the "modern" quick wrist snap which leaves the goalie less reaction time.

The reason you make "headlines" so frequently is that you nit pick every aspect of granlunds game to the bone. You try and find any little flaw in his game, and when you find one thing that you consider a flaw you start questioning his skills. Everyone know how you feel, so just let the kid be for a while. Wait until he actually is here before you actually pronunce him a bust.n

okay, i haven't been that serious in my critics. just some minor "footnotes". plus i have only gradually come to appreciate all the finesses in his game. hope he will fair in the nhl. he will hardly be a bust although i am not sure how his genius will translate to the "too fast and furious" kind of hockey... (it just depends what you expect. anything less than a star is a bust?)

I watched that game and man is HIFK bad team atm, only line capable to score is 1st and their goalie Lundell was **** shaky and gave bad rebounds all game

True. Lundell is pretty terrible. Peltonen did show some emotion during the game, but he's in slump right now. HIFK is totally depending on Granlunds line.

It's incredible that with those players HIFK can't win against a team like TPS. They have 4 world championship gold medalists on the team ffs.

"Genius" is one of those things that translates to any type of hockey... It doesn't go away just because the rink is smaller.

Can anyone tell me why this guy gets so much hype?

All I have heard of him is that he is small, slow, has good hands, and a high hockey IQ.

He hasn't just a high hockey IQ, it's the highest hockey IQ ever. Period.
