I think he's a shoe-in for the calder, hart, and art ross.. selke s a possibility but vezina is more likely.. I predict he'll also win the jack adams in a tight race
If he scores less than 60 pts i'm disappointed, 60pts is ok but 70pts is reachable.
What? I'm very high on Granlund but under 60 pts is a disappointment? It'll be his first year in a smaller rink and if he's able to put up a 40-point season I'll be very happy. If everything goes perfect, 70 points could happen even tho he's a rookie. But I don't expect him to be that effective.
2 very nice shots tonight. That last one was very impressive. Edit. I call that 2nd wrister sick.
Without injury as a winger 60pts is nothing for him. If he's center it would be much harder.

All I'm saying is that it's a different game in the NHL and Mikko Koivu for example is both experienced and built for this... Mikke might need some time to adjust.
Or not. I tought he needs adjustment to FEL, he didn't. Ok against NHLers at WC he didn't. Mikke is an experienced player despite being 19. Size haven't been issue for him ever. NHL aggressive play might actualy fit him when players run chasing him when he has the puck. He is most dangerous when he lures players close to him which frees 1 linemate. If he's healthy +60pts. He's so much better than Mikko Koivu and Tuomo Ruutu offensively.
That is a possible scenario, but it's not a fact that it will happen if he's healthy. 60 points is a lot. If you list some players that scored 60 points last year, there will be some very very good players. I'm not saying he won't, all I'm saying is that this shouldn't be an expectation, but a scenario that may or may not happen.
Martin Havlat, Patrik Elias, Ilya Kovalchuk, 62,62,60 points respectively last year. Just to raise some thoughts.
Jussi Jokinen was about 60pt player like Tuomo Ruutu and Mikko Koivu. If i had to choose 1 player to produce points. It would be Granlund hands down. I'm even more sure about +60pts because he have improved his shot. That shot will work in the NHL aswell.
He has always managed to produce no matter of league. Last spring he was way ahead tuomo ruutu who is about 60 pt player in the NHL. He was ahead Mikko Koivu offensively who is about 65 pt-70pt player. Compare that Granlund to this. He is much better player than last spring at WC. He's even more ahead those players offensively. He gonna get #1 PP time and play top 6 minutes. Call me crazy if i'm disappointed for less than 60pts. He's not an junior player anymore. He's best FEL player and among best Finnish players if not best offensively. People seem to forget it. Without injury as a winger 60pts is nothing for him. If he's center it would be much harder. Heatley gonna wake up from sleep playing with Granlund. Granlund can do damage with Immonen but imagine him with Heatley.
Oookay. No you should calm the fuc- down. Granlund has 0 shifts played in the NHL. Wich is, pretty much different game than, WC or FEL. There is no reason why he can´t be productive from the first season to start with. But it would not be a surprise to see him around 40-50 points. No one should be disappointed if MG ends up that amount of points. 15ish goals is good, and realistic. He needs to get used to more games, longer travels, new environment, new team and a hole new level of Hockey. I have all the faith for Mikael being capable having a solid career. But lets be honest here. He is not the best offensive player we have. I would argue M. Koivu, T. Ruutu, V. FIlppula (holy ****, had to put first initials for all, cause they have brothers playing hockey also!) are better at NHL level. And i would not argue, but state the fact that Selanne is better.

+60pts or bust. He have scored in every league, every stage he has played. He has to adjust north american game yeah. There is no doubt that Granlund is much better offensive player who you listed except Selänne.
All the players mentioned above are two-way forwards, and great at what they do. However, I would dare to say that although Granlund's two-way game is nowhere near for instance Filppula's, he has more offensive upside than any one of those players.
Yeah, i did not use the best exemples. Granlund has the most offensive upside. But he has still not played in the NHL level. I honestly think he will be the third or fourth best offensive forward threat Finland has produced ever. When all is said and done. But he is not ready yet. I think Mikko Koivu has more offensive abilities, Teemu Selanne for sure. Olli Jokinen can make a case. Jussi Jokinen could also outproduce Granlund at this point. Immonen is a tad better offensively. Granlund is at top. Not the clear cut no:1 but on his way there.
Agreed. Mostly. I don't know why you think Jussi Jokinen has anything to do in this conversation. Even having Granlund in the discussion of the best offensive-minded Finn in the NHL ever is stupid. As stated earlier, he's yet to play a single game in the League. (And again, I believe Jussi's value to Carolina comes from his offensive AND defensive game.)
By the way, I never said Granlund was offensively better than Teemu Selänne. That wasn't me. Selänne and (O.) Jokinen are (were...) both stars in their teams, and hopefully Mikko Koivu becomes a star this year playing with decent linemates.
And Jarkko Immonen? What? A good goal-scorer, but next to Granlund, who isn't? I bet even I could shovel a few pucks in the back of the net playing with him.
