Then that's still a great number 1 pick
No doubt, Kariya was a fantastic player.

Haven't seen much of Mintyukov, but that clip was really nice. Good for the Ducks. So happy they are playing well.
Idk that there is enough help for him in Chicago…. And if guys like Mintyukov and Hughes can keep their pace up, and goalies like dostal and woll can continue to be impacts in net , it’ll be interesting. This is the most fun rookie class of all time from what I can remember. I do suspect Bedard will eventually separate himself from the rest, but still so many fun players to watch.
Its 60\40, Bedard will be closer to peak Paul Kariya, than Crosby or McDavid.
I still think carlsson and Mintyukov shoulda got assist on first goalDucks have won five in a row and all three rookies padded their stats last night. Another assist for Mintyukov (rang a shot off the post and Terry buried the rebound), another goal for Carlsson, and another win for Dostal.
That highlight is basically a microcosm of his season.Haven't seen much of Mintyukov, but that clip was really nice. Good for the Ducks. So happy they are playing well.
He extends the play in the ozone so much, he keeps tons of pucks in at the line. That highlight is basically a microcosm of his season.
He is playing amazing defensively and leads the Ducks in hits.
He is so calm with the puck and seems to always make the right decision.
When he gets a chance to jump up in the play he always does, and the most impressive part is he never gets caught. It isn't like he gets caught and his skating bails him out, he always seems to know exactly when he can jump up and wont get caught.
Ducks fans have seen a lot of good young defensemen in the last decade and he is by far the best. Best offensively, best transition game, and best defensively maybe second best only to Lindholm.
He really feels like the kind of prospect that's too good to be true. Like right on track to be a superstar in this league. That highlight is basically a microcosm of his season.

He'll be in Norris conversations in a year or two imo.He really feels like the kind of prospect that's too good to be true. Like right on track to be a superstar in this league.
His package of skating, smarts, vision, physicality, and two way awareness is just next level.
I think you're overlooking Lacombe. My final 3 at seasons end
Mintyukov
Dostal
Carlsson
He might not though, Chicago is terribad. This is the most fun rookie class of all time from what I can remember. I do suspect Bedard will eventually separate himself from the rest, but still so many fun players to watch.
Rossi with a goal and an assist last night, getting first-line shifts. If he continues to play on the top line this could become interesting.
