For some context, this is aged but presented as current info, look at the samples, its through 190 and 199 even strength minutes, Faber is at 596 5v5 minutes alone. It was also posted by a 19 year old Blackhawks fan.

JFresh's model is WAR based and the highest correlated stat used is finishing ability, which he outright omits from Defensemen projections. You can read the methodology here 2022 JFreshHockey NHL Player Card Explainer

Faber in the 99th percentile for even strength defense is the #1 reason he should win the award and the #1 reason he won’t win the award. It’s a points award, not a who is a better player award.
You're wrong. Like it or not, in the end it's an award given to the rookie player who is the most exciting to watch. The player that sells tickets and puts warm bodies in seats around the league because fans don't want to miss seeing player x when he comes to town. That my friend, is Connor Bedard not Brock Faber. This is a money driven league and Bedard makes money... for everybody... not just the guy who owns his contract.

Who'd you rather have: Bedard or Faber?
Crying about how its not fair that a defensive player doesn't get the same attention as star forwards is so kids these days. Faber is not going to win the Calder, lol.

Question: Who is the more exciting player who puts butts in the seats: Moritz Seider or Trevor Zegras? Aaron Ekblad or Johnny Gaudreau?

For this season? Faber. For the long term? Bedard.

There lies the rub that some can’t understand.

Bedard is out scoring his second highest teammate by 71%. Taylor Hall won a Hart trophy almost exclusively because he outscored his next closest teammate by 78%. There lies the rub people saying Faber can’t understand.

Also I don’t know how much neutral fans have been paying attention but Bedard has taken another step recently. 8 points in last 6 games, +2, while his team has went 1-5 and been outscored 26-12. Points on 66% of his team’s goals with a positive goal differential on a -14 team. Biggest factor is Blackhawks powerplay has become a factor recently thanks to Bedard. Also, the fact he is accelerating while riding a goal slump is astonishing. 2 goals over his last 15 games, while his shooting volume still remains high at 55 shots over that span (3.66 per game).

Just like how the awful powerplay was due for some positive regression in Bedard’s favor, another dam about to break again.

I can't help but still be salty at Chicago, CBJ would've literally been a perfect fit for Bedard, imagine having Gaudreau setting him up and that Russian line behind him and giving him the ability to not have the entire burden of the team on his shoulders from day one.

Yeah we'd still be giving up 3-4 goals a game but they'd be scoring 5-6::laugh::cry:
