Sorry, I was just messing around. But according to some fans (manly of a certain team) his points are just garbage points, because they try and diminish how good the kid is.

Kid is crazy good. If he had some good support and an average PP unit he would be easily have 40+ points at this point.
No worries. I assumed you were being sarcastic, but you never know. Yes, the kid is amazing. I just wish he was playing at the WJR's.

Faber keeps on rolling, 25:55 TOI to lead all skaters in the Home victory! Rossi a +3 with an assist, some great play again out of the rookies, taking steps forward in their games continuously.

He would destroy WJRs. As a Hawks fan he is so fun to watch. But he also reminds Hawks fans how much we lack legit top 6 skill. Every night he sets up guys and they flub the pass. Happened again tonight on the PP. Perfect pass through 2 guys cross ice, goalie down and Kurashov couldn't handle the pass clean and just shoved it into a goalie laying on his stomach.

Yes. Minus a few players, the Blackhawks are a train wreck and Bedard deserves better. Too bad Perry isn't there to help the kid. I just hope and pray he stays healthy - he's not a big kid.

Bedard 2 goals/OT winner, what a bum.

10 points in 10 games for Fantilli. Im sure Michkov would have more but Im quite happy with Fantilli. He hasnt been getting any calls lately, part of me hopes he is bothered by that and starts to play angry. Hes slowly getting more physical and Im here for it

Even if MM ends up better long term, between the wait for him to come over and Columbus' gaping hole down the middle, Fantilli was the right choice. Yall needed a future 1C, and yall (more than likely) got one.

Fantilli is going to turn out to be a very fine pick for the Jackets and quite possibly might turn out better than Carlsson but both guys are really close and have their strengths and weaknesses.

Everytime I check the scoreboard for the Hawks it's a 1 or 2 goal game with Bedard almost always on the scoresheet. Has 12 more points than the 2nd leading point producer and his team is bottom 5 in every category.

can't see how he doesn't win the calder.
He’s gonna get so many more points once he has some competent offensive teammates. He’s the only remotely dangerous player out there and makes a lot of great passes, on the powerplay in particular, that go absolutely nowhere because the hawks are running out third liners on the PP1.

Tonight was the perfect analogy for why Bedard has this Calder and it’s not close. Faber played 25 minutes. On for 2 goals for, 1 goal against. Had the ice tilted whenever he was on the ice. Extremely impressive.

Bedard just single handedly won a game for the Blackhawks 2 goals, +2 in a 2-1 overtime win. Is now up to having a point on 52% of Chicago’s goals over the last 14. No other rookie is capable of impacting their team more than Bedard currently, and the list of players league wide is beginning to dwindle fast. Bedard is point per game over his last 17 games, and on pace for 98 points over his last 10.

As far as rookie competition, Bedard has one.
McDavid’s first 34 games: 14-21-35
Bedard’s first 34 games: 15-17-32

Bedard is 6 months younger with significantly worse forward help.

He need a guy that at least has some hands dammit. Kurashev has a little bit of skill, but his hands suck. He flubed another pass tonight on the PP from Bedard. Really getting sick of guys not handling passes from Bedard. Even when the do get the pass it is after they fumbled it around and by then the D/goalie has recovered.

Rossi and Faber are two very good rookies and I understand why Wild fans would be cheering for them to be considered for Calder - especially Faber - BUT - both those guys are playing their D+4 seasons and are 21 and 22 respectively. Bedard, Fantilli and a couple other guys are playing their D+1 seasons. Those extra 3 seasons of getting bigger and stronger and more experienced gives them a huge advantage over Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson and so on.

Having said that - I know Calder isn't an age thing and truth is, as a Hawks fan, I was beating the drum for Panarin to win the Calder when he broke in with the Hawks as a 25 year old - so I get it, but I think it's worth mentioning and considering when comparing potential Calder nominees.

Bread only got the Calder because McJesus was injured.

But this is still a great post and I love Rossi and Faber.
