I am just so excited to see what the Rangers do this off-season.

My predictions:

Buy-Out Marc Staal

@ Draft
Select Kakko with the 2nd overall pick.
Trade Kreider, Tampa's first (when they win the cup) and a second rounder to the Avalanche for the 4th overall pick to select Byram.
Trade Pionk and a 3rd to Carolina for Adam Fox
Trade Vesey, Georgiev (sell high on him), Letteri, and Smith (50%),---- you get what you get for them.

Free Agency
Sign Panarin to whatever he wants. He's a stud!
Sign K'Andre Miller, Adam Fox, Bowen Byram, Kappo Kakko, and Igor Shestyorkin to entry level deals X

*Considering the fact everyone else the Rangers select will be in the AHL or international leagues*

Make Mika Zibanejad your captain!

And still a boatload of draft picks. I know he got lucky with the 2nd overall pick, but Gorton looks like an absolute wizard this season.
 
Just watched the interview with Bill Pedto and Jeff Gorton.
Bill asked Jeff about picking second and Jeff said that at 2 we are very comfortable there. There are a few players there that are really really good players.
Unless they have changed the definition of “few” meaning three this is not what I want to hear.
I hope he was just saying that to get into Sher,s Head.

Shero can literally take anyone he wants.

It's going to be Hughes to NJ and Kakko to NY.

Its what GM's do.

They need to do their due diligence as a group anyway. Saying "WE KNOW WHO WE'RE TAKING" is kind of a slap in the face to your scouts before you've had your meetings. Its not like McDavid is available.
