Which is a good influence of Quinn and shows that it was a smart move getting a guy like him to coach a team in this transition period. I like that. I have some qualms with some of his player usage and stuff, but a guy who can get his guys to run through a brick wall like this in a season that they know isn’t going to lead anywhere but the lottery is great. Very happy with Quinn’s influence here.
He has not been able to light a fire under a few of them .....and some are likely not destined to be here long term either if our kids bust out . Seeing some improvements in Buch/Lias...small steps but they are at least in the right direction . Buch definitely better of late . I would not trade him or Lias....let them grow and Chytil should be playing a lot but in a lower league .

No they’ve played their asses off and deserve better then ignorant nonsense out of fans who don’t know anything. I get it, if they were really awful and had a legit chance at the top pick, I get it. They’re far better then that so 8continually rooting against them like somehow they are screwing up is a joke.

Nope they f***ed up. The team will be good again, but not good enough. For those of you alive for the next rebuild, maybe we will pick under 7th.

Can the idiots on here who continually come on here rooting for them to lose, absolutely not understanding they’re not in a position to pick top 4 no matter what they do the rest of the way stop posting. It’s a loser mentality, it’s stupid and it’s counterproductive for those who like seeing them win. Same crap out of the same people. We get it, D’Angelo is Bobby Orr, Staal and Shatenkirk aren’t any good and Pionk stinks. We get it. They’re gonna pick around 8-12 no matter what they do. Live with it.

Unfortunately, losing helps more than winning if the Rangers are to be in a position to get elite talent. The biggest problem this franchise has had sine 94 is drafting and developing elite talent. As great as that 06-17 run was, the fact remains those teams were good to very good, but didn’t have the elite talent to go all the way. If I believed in the Rangers scouting and drafting ability I would feel good about them gutting our wins despite their roster being average at best. But history tells us, Rangers have very spotty history of drafting and developing elite players. Sure, the Callahans, Dubinskys, Girardis, Staals, Krieders, and Stepans are good, but getting a generational player or two is what springboards teams into contention. I’m sorry if you can’t see that, I would happy with wins if helped our draft odds, but sadly it doesn’t.

So so true. This team showed a lot of fight today. You would think more people would be applauding the effort but you have the same people whining that they got a point. I seriously can't wait for this season to end.

I don't see anyone in here legit cheering for the other team.

It just sucks that they are one of the worst teams in the league (last in ROW) and their pick won't reflect that.

No they just whine incessantly when we win or get points no matter how hard they play. What do you call it? It's the same thing. If looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, guess what, it's a duck.

People only complain when we get points we had no business getting.

We'll probably be in lottery contention for at least another year, so it's not too late. Plus, this year isn't over yet. There's still a realistic chance that we finish around 5th with some luck on our side

I also think the prospects we have now have higher upsides than those of the previous generation. Kravstov and Miller are respectively the highest upside prospects we've drafted at forward and D in a long time and could certainly become (although it's not an expectation) elite one day.

Anyway, I see your concern, but not every team is going to be afforded an opportunity to draft a Crosby, Kane or Ovechkin. You make the best of your situation and hope that one day everything comes together

He contradicts himself....

The smallish Rangers, who compete in the dirty areas, have no one to provide even the illusion of protection. The last thing they need is for the kids to be bullied over the final 20 games.

They were not bullied
in this 6-5 overtime defeat in which Ryan Strome threw down with Matt Niskanen, Connor Brickley tussled with Brooks Orpik following a typically marginal hit and Tony DeAngelo engaged Tom Wilson more than once.

This isn't AVs Rangers... we're not going to just p***yfoot around the ice... Bullies don't pick on people that hit back

We could use someone to replace McQuaid though

"They weren't bullied in this game against their biggest rival and one of the toughest teams in the league, but they might be some other game, I dunno..."

Absolute drivel.
