Without looking up their specific injuries, his luck has been similar to Vilardi's to start his career (but worse)

Vilardi scored at 0.57 points per game before this season (which has been a break out)

Dach has scored at 0.44 points per game

I'd definitely take a flyer on the guy in case he can get/stay healthy a la Gabe, but I wouldn't be willing to put anything significant on the table
So, something like PLD?

I never got the sense PLD's inconsistent play was due to injury. I always thought the problem was between his ears. When he was on the Jets there were days I thought he was incredible. Other days, he looked like he'd rather be doing something else.
It was said in jest.

Dallas looks dangerous AF and it makes me worried AF.

They are a really good team. They are 3rd in the NHL this season to date and they go deep in the playoffs most years. In the last 5 seasons they have won a round, got to the Stanley cup final, and been to the Western conference final twice.

They should win the cup one of these years and this might be the one finally.

Edit: I see some angry emojis. To be clear this is something I don’t want to happen. I badly want the Jets to beat Dallas in the playoffs for personal reasons. I am just giving it up to a team that has kicked ass in the playoffs.

Wild were winning 2-1, Avs turn it around in the second lead 4-2, Wild might be in a real dog fight to get a WC spot in a couple of weeks
Realistically I think 90 points is a guaranteed WC position in the West, and that would take 18 points in the last 23 games for the Wild. The Flames have a tough schedule in March, might fall out of the playoff race.
The Canucks have a stretch in March where they play the Jets at home, then go on a 6 game road trip through St. Louis, on to all 3 New York teams, Columbus, and then back to Winnipeg. That could do them in.

Utah might be the final WC, but as a hockey fan I'd love to see Marc Andre Fleury's career come to an end in Winnipeg. And beating the Wild is always satisfying.

Goaltending and defense. The Oilers need both. Skinner is the opposite of Helly, a big goalie who flounders.

On the other side of the standings, I wonder where Keller-Cooley-Schmaltz rank among line combinations this year. Those guys are doing some unreal things to keep the No Names in the playoff race. A 1st round series with Utah would be a battle.
I really like that line

Jets need to shoot for first in West. Whoever sneaks in as WC2 (Van, Cal, Utah?) would definitely be a preferred first round matchup.
I'm crossing my fingers for Vancouver. We can play against chaos giraffe

I would hate to play wild in the playoffs. They tend to be a dirty team and I don't want the jets to be injured for round 2.

Ain't gonna lie, Utah scares me a little bit. That Keller line is a poor man's Mackinnon line
Better to play a poor man's Mackinnon than Mackinnon.
