Like I said earlier, I think everyone agrees with that at this point.

It depends on how much faith you have in the team to execute it.

To me, they're the Rongos. They'll be the Rongos until they prove they're not the Rongos.

They also haven't had the luxury of drafting in the top 5.

That may be soon about to change.

For sure. They'll need some luck to get those guys but if the FO sticks to their guns, they'll be in position to do just that.

I know JG had expressed that he didn't want to ice a "skeleton squad" this year but after the deadline, we're going to be doing that.

If the summer goes with out them making any significant changes, well where does that leave us for next year?

I think we have to take it stretch by stretch.

I’m hesitant to put a timetable on things because there’s so many variables. It depends on how people come along, who we draft, etc.

But I think this team is still in accumulation mode through next season.

Lundqvist, Richter, Leetch, Zubov, Messier, Nash, Gaborik, Jagr, Gomez(just joking)and the greatest ever Gretzky were all apart of this team. Star power has always been there, the supporting cast has always been weaker than it should have been because we traded our draft picks away.

Miro Heiskanen, Elias Pettersson, Michae Rasmussen,
Michael Rassmussen has as many points as Chytil and I don't think he has Chytils upside.
If you're using him you're really grasping at straws. As for Heiskanen and Pettersson ofc they're better then Chytil they're top 5 picks while Chytil is in the early 20s

We are just naming players Chytil isn't better than. The fact that other players are better now is not proof that Chytil won't become a great player.

Right now, ranger fans are looking for every excuse to sulk. They don't appreciate that the team didn't play an unimportant game from October 2005 until March 2018. They are distraught that a 2017 20th pick isn't carrying the team.

If this organization was actually trying to win right now, you would have a reason to be depressed. They are walking the correct path. How are you guys not excited for basically an unprecedented path?

That's a rhetorical question. Don't blow up my alerts with "because rongos" posts.

This approach has never been undertaken to this extent in my lifetime.

Why ugly? I think the premise of netting Draisaitl from all is realistic and quite ‘pretty’
Giving up Buchnevich (low value right now) and Skjei (who is playing better) in the same trade, in addition to a seemingly good prospect, is an ugly trade to me for a rebuilding team. Especially since they’re all 24 and under (not counting Vesey, don’t care about him).
