 We lost another one but we're going in the right direction!

Seven against, then 6 against now today only 5 against. :naughty:

Goals for have trended in the same direction...

2-1-0.

If anyone finds a way to score -1 goals in a game it will be this team. Make sure to tune in Tuesday night, history will be made.

We will reduce it to 4 goals against but score -1 goals making it 5 goals against infinitely.

Rangers will be in limbo till season's end.

The entire lottery carries with it the risk of falling — which is a rant for another time.

But when push comes to shove, I’d rather fall to 4 or 5, than fall to 11 or 12.

Not that falling doesn’t suck either way. But I’d rather land on grass than concrete.
Oh yeah that’s for sure. Just super negative for any draft lottery lol

I think we're going to get multiple cracks at it.

As in not just this year. I thought it was very possible for them to really hit the skids this year and turn it around semi quickly but my stance on that has changed.

If Hank ever decides that he wants out, we're legitimate contenders for Lafreniere

Let’s be honest, this team gets multiple picks this year, including a high pick, and adds a high pick next year, and suddenly no one is worried about whether Chytil and Andersson are game breakers. People are trying to determine which high end support players get paired with which elite talent.

It's not a matter of concern, so much as it is a question of whether there is anyone currently in the system who can be the best player on a Cup winner.

There likely isn't. That's what you're hoping happens in the upcoming draft, and possibly the year after. It cannot be stressed enough how early the Rangers are in this process.

For sure. They'll need some luck to get those guys but if the FO sticks to their guns, they'll be in position to do just that.

I know JG had expressed that he didn't want to ice a "skeleton squad" this year but after the deadline, we're going to be doing that.

If the summer goes with out them making any significant changes, well where does that leave us for next year?

Worse than this year.

Do you consider Wheeler and Scheifele to be game breakers?

Parise didn't really become one until he was 24, Giroux became one at 23.
Wheeler is a unicorn.

Parise, Giroux, and Scheifele were .5 PPG players at 20 and 21. 20 is next year for Chytil. I'm not sure I see him taking that step within the next couple of years.

I don't see the finish to become an elite goal scorer or the playmaking ability to become an elite assist guy.

I agree with Edge that he's a 50-60 point player.

This team still doesn't have its centerpiece and has never shown the ability to draft a centerpiece.

Worse than this year.

The skeleton squad that he didn't want in 2018-19 will be there for 19-20.

IF we want to follow the Leafs road to success, we got our Nylander last year, will get our Marner this year and possibly get our Matthews in 2020.

Who is the super star player who grew up in Ranger PJ's that we can tear away from another team in a few years?

So we're just going to ignore that he's a better prospect than Chytil because he was born a year earlier?

No because the OP said that there were plenty of guys who were younger, smaller and better right now. Or else I would have included Pettersson too.

I don't even think hes a better prospect, he got propped up due to a hot start last year via playing with Hall.

This team is a train wreck.
