If you wanted more Steelers offensive hate porn, well he’s a full article written by Warren Sharp that really breaks it down

My favorite, “The Steelers are averaging 0.4 points per minute of possession, worst in the NFL.

That means for just one offensive touchdown, they need 18 and a half minutes of possession.”

He sucked last year and I knew he’d suck again this year. It’s stupid we moved up for Jones and he doesn’t even play…over a guy he couldn’t possibly be any worse than.

It’s always possible he’s worse, just I’d shiver at what that would look like though.

We've been on the so-man y-outside-throws thing since last season. That said, I bet most of the in-game complaints about Pickett's accuracy came after he missed throws on slants and crosses.

I'm fully on board the "fire Canada" train and I've posted numerous times that I think it's hard to get a gauge on the players when they're being coached so poorly. That said, I'm not sure what to make of the frequency of the kinds of throws they're asking him to make.

A pressure rate like that is a sure way to have your #1 qb get injured.

Tomlin has indeed had a lot of talent to work with over the years. Probably the most talent of any coach over the span of his career. And he's not done much with it in the post-season for over a decade. At some point, you lose points on your record. Tomlin's SBs are off the record at this point. Null. Irrelevant to the present.

If you need all-pro players at 9/11 positions on the field to be somewhat successful, you're not a good coach. That's pretty much where Tomlin squarely lands. "Beat your man" doesn't really work that well when the other team's man is technically better than yours. You have to use your head to overcome such obstacles.

Was there a question on this? It never once occurred to me.
Well, just in the comments for the ads I get on Facebook for the athletic there were Browns fans hoping Minkah gets “Shaziered” so I can’t imagine what kind of messages he’s getting on social media.

It's pretty wild to call Fitzpatrick dirty for that hit. He doesn't have much of a history of bad play. I get Browns fans are mad - I think the whole league is sad Chubb got hurt - but it's part of the game. Has been and will be as long as tackling is still legal. Shit happens.

I'm a Browns fan from Toronto (back in the day, that was the team we got on TV now the Bills, and my dad grew up a Browns fan due to growing up in the Jim Brown era, so I became one growing up). I'll say this, losing Chubb like that really sucked, he's by far our most lovable player, and our most talented alongside Myles. I don't think Fitzpatrick had any intention of doing that, and while I get the anger he doesn't deserve death threats or anything along those lines (cheering for someone to get Shaziered is horrific, and anyone who cheers for that isn't a real fan). It's football, and unfortunately, guys get horrific injuries like that when things go wrong.

My main intention of coming here though was, despite our two teams hating each other, I'd like to thank you guys for the ovation you guys gave Chubb going off the field. While our rivalry is heated, I'll never forget how when it was announced our team was stolen in 1995 that you guys showed support (I believe Browns/Steelers had a primetime game the week it was announced, and you guys chanted stuff towards Modell). I may dislike your team, but I respect your fanbase in general. Hope to one day get to your stadium for a Browns/Steelers game (and get to check out your amazing baseball stadium in the same trip).

We are barely getting 18 mins per game at this point. Averaging 23mins per game...which hurts to type out.

He also thinks Canada has done a good job. One day when these guys are gone, Ben will throw them under the bus.

Steelers fans will always appreciate a RB like Chubb. He would have had 200 yards if he didn't get hurt. I think the last guy of this caliber that got hurt in the middle of their prime was Shazier. I hope Chubb comes back, but I'm not sure after 2 horrific knee injuries he's going to be back anything like he was.

Fwiw, a lot of Steeler fans (like myself) don’t hate Cleveland (sports or other) at all. The rivalry switched to the Ravens and then just never switched back. I do very much hate Myles Garrett for both the helmet assault and faux “justification” he made for his actions. He basically ruined Mason Rudolph’s career and marketability outside of Pittsburgh with that (obviously fake) accusation of a racial slur. Not that Rudolph needs much help ruining his own career, but what Garrett did was totally disgraceful and called for a much, much longer suspension.

I also really liked the Browns’ road uniform/helmet combo.

I obviously hate the rat birds/zombie Browns. I do feel due to how bad we've been the rivalry between us is a bit more one-way now (we haven't had many games that have mattered outside 2020). Roethlisberger caused me nightmares for years. I generally go to Cleveland once a year for a game (although this year I'm doing Rams/Browns in LA). Would love to eventually check out your city, and hopefully there is a September/October game between us there that I could go to next year.

Just wanted to say, despite the rivalry, you guys have generally been classy. Hopefully Chubb even if unlikely can bounce back.

I think we can all agree that Modell, Norman Green, etc are all major assholes

Canada crowd sourcing for answers. Anyone want to spare a suggestion or two to help a guy out?

Canada when asked how does the offense get its mojo back: "I don’t know. If you have the answer, you can let me know or tell somebody else. When you’re playing good on offense or anything in life that is good, you stack it."

Tomlin basically admits they are lost.

“We have to play more coordinated, especially early in games. We have to anticipate the schematics of those we play against a little bit better. Displaying anticipation is a component of preparedness. We have to put them in really good circumstances, we have to recognize those circumstances and perform.”

Tomlin pointed to the Browns defense early in the game, saying it showed looks the Steelers weren’t anticipating and weren’t able to adjust to quickly enough.

“When you are playing and playing good, you go over those (unexpected looks) like speed bumps,” Tomlin said. “In-game adjustments are a major component of what we do and, probably from a coach’s perspective, your ability to anticipate the potential of that. To tee up that, thus making it more fluid when it does happen.”

Running that through the Tomlin word salad descrambler, he begrudgingly is saying that Canada’s O has no f***ing clue how to adjust when teams throw looks at them that they didn’t anticipate.

Yeah Garrett is basically the football version of Ryan Braun.

And Josina Anderson should have been fired over that as well.

Pickett has been awful and I have major questions whether he can be the guy at QB but those pressure rates are telling. He's still inexperienced as a starting QB and he's getting pressured and hit more than any QB in the league. He's likely not comfortable out there mentally or physically and I think that's possibly where the happy feet and inaccuracy start to creep in. They have to protect him better and try to get him settled down.

Was there a question on this? It never once occurred to me.
I think it's mostly just Browns fans being emotional because their best player got hurt. I get that but Chubb was a runner, not defenseless, it was a football play.

I mean DB's like Minkah are usually going to go low and cut the legs out from power RB's, TE's, bigger WR's etc. Troy tackled that way his whole career. A DB would get ran over trying to tackle those bigger guys up high. Not to mention the league doesn't want the high hits/collisions because of CTE.

Steelers' Players are dirty if they tackle high. Or low. Or in the middle.

That is why they are coached to miss so many tackles.
