The only thing I'm sure of is that we are all going to be very disappointed by whomever the next OC hire is. Tomlin wants puppets and Rooney wants cheap, quite the combination for a hire.
If I was a betting man I’d put money on Faulkner. Maybe it’s different under Khan but all recent history would indicate it’ll be some internal nobody.

Big time PR move to hire Flores considering his lawsuit.

And I didn't think I had to spell it out but I was referring to "football smarts" and not classroom
If he was serious about it, he'd have promoted Flores to DC and let Austin walk after the season. He preferred having someone who is no perceived threat and a far more malleable figure in that chair.

Who brought Canada back?

He wasn’t even going to fire him and Rooney was forced to step in.

Tomlin’s decision couldn’t have gone any worse, but let’s pretend young QBs can’t be ruined by atrocious coaching.

Dude likely isn’t bouncing back, but as always Tomlin is absolved.

There’s always a scapegoat for his atrocious decisions.

Tomlin has brainwashed Steeler fans to a frightening degree.

The Steelers don't fire Coaches & definitely don't fire coaches Midseason, So you can bet your ass Poor Little Rich Kid Fart Rooney the 2nd told HC Cliché to fire Canada & now HC Cliché' is on the hot seat, because how many OC's can you hire & fire without the Gun being aimed at you

Faulkner was on every staff canada was in in college except Pittsburgh so i don’t think we see big changes

I mean, we can all want Tomlin to be on the hot seat, particularly as he morphs more and more into being Jeff Fisher, but he's not on the hot seat. Not even close to it.

I've stated and have repeatedly stated that I would have fired Tomlin after the Jacksonville playoff loss. And Canada was a horrible coordinator.

But Kenny playing the way he has is 100% on him. He literally refuses to pass the ball down the field. He is the one with the ball in his hands. He makes the decisions on where it goes.

I actually think it was Batch's commentary that convinced Art to move on. Charlie is still held in high regard and respected by Steelers Executives

We have caught and compromised to a permanent end...

Matt Canada's career as Steelers offensive coordinator!

Kenny Pickett came with obvious shortcomings, even his most ardent supports (and I feel like I've been lukewarm to warm) acknowledge that.

But for me - and, I suspect, a lot of folks - we were just never going to get a full sense of Pickett as an NFL QB with the coaching he was getting (and, likely, will continue to get through the end of this season). Instead of designing an offense that made use of his strengths and attempted to improve his weaknesses, both were simply mitigated if not ignored.

The counter, of course, is that the NFL isn't a developmental league and KP is old for a young QB so why should he require extra teaching? The fact that other teams do develop QBs, sometimes with success, makes it clear it's a thing that can be done. And in this case, it wasn't.

Let's hope that, if nothing else, changes.

Yeah OK Beavis, The Owner had to step in & fire the OC because he wouldn't after bringing him back after the debacle last season. That is all on HC Cliché'

Anyone expecting changes needs to hold their horses.
This is still Tomlin's offense in terms of how he wants to approach things: risk-averse, keep things close to the vest, don't take shots, etc.

The owner had to sign off on it because they never fire mid season or pay coaches not to coach
