It's constantly 1 second slow. He's got to pick up his pace just a bit and it'd make a world of difference.

They are the only 2 real quality teams in the NFL. Everyone else is a very clear two notches below them.
Well the Steelers are much more than two notches lol…some other teams may be two, but we’re more like 6+ lol

McDuffie looking real good tonight. Wasn’t he and Quay Walker picked right after Pickett? Lol

San Fran may be the best team

Basically all the stuff people not living in denial about Tomlin already know.

At least someone in the Pgh media is finally telling the truth about the guy’s atrocious decision making.

The lowest-scoring Steelers teams since the merger:

1970: 15.5 ppg
1998: 16.4 ppg
2023: 16.6 ppg
1989: 16.6 ppg

Indeed, the plans appear to be geared almost exclusively to keep the quarterback from inflicting damage to his team. Just don’t turn it over! In that case, Tomlin might as well use Mitch Trubisky or Mason Rudolph and spare Pickett the emotional damage.

The Steelers drafted Pickett 20th overall and gave him Canada as a caretaker, which is kind of like hiring Dennis Rodman as your babysitter. What could go wrong?

This is the third quarterback to struggle under him. Ben Roethlisberger did his best work when he ignored Canada’s calls and freelanced. I probably don’t need to tell you that in 45 tries, Canada has produced zero 400-yard games (and just two 30-point games, one with Roethlisberger freelancing).

For everyone who points to the offensive line as an excuse for Pickett, the Steelers have allowed the 12th fewest sacks of any team in the NFL. They also have a pass blocking win rate that is 14th in the NFL. The OL isn't great but the idea that Pickett is just relentlessly under siege is a fallacy, at least compared to the rest of the NFL. I know this won't stop the apologies, but nevertheless.

Lines up with this

Yet the stats still say Pickett is top 10 for times knocked down and only just outside on times hurried - and is probably in if you average it by pass attempts.

Which suggests that there is a bunch of pressure regularly and Pickett does well to avoid being sacked more.

Also, no guy who's played 10 games has been blitzed less and by quite a distance. In other words, teams are completely free to keep full coverage against the Steelers, knowing they'll still get through the QB. Which doesn't reflect well on the OL at all.

Kenny looks like the worst qb of the last like 5 years. The playcalling is awful. Our Wrs would be 2/3’s on other teams. Najee runs like he thinks he is 30 pounds lighter. The oline is swiss cheese.

I have no idea how they solve all this
We are mid-rebuild and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting farther away instead of closer.

We know the problem.

The question is who is to blame.

Are the coaches coaching this or is the player at fault? We can speculate but no one can answer.

The Birds, man…. now THAT is a football team. I can’t stand all the Philly stooges out there in the media and what not (except Erin Dolan <3), but this is their year IMO. A whole lot of mid in this league outside of KC and Philly. Can almost guarantee that’ll be the Super Bowl again.

The offense has literally one good thing going for it right now, Warren.

He’s avg almost 10 YPC his last three games.

They saw fit to give him 9 carries.

Warren has the most rushing yards in a three game span now since Tomlin’s first year.

9 carries.

That’s really all you need to know about the competence of the coaching.

Granted.

But it could be both to blame.

You can't develop a skill if you never attempt anything. No one learned to become a world renowned brain surgeon if only allowed to open a first aid kit and never anything more.

That is my point. Who is to blame for almost no attempts? Ever?

The coaches certainly. If only the player then he would be benched.

But is it both? And to what degree does KP deserve some blame for not developing him?

That is the million dollar unanswerable question.

if Kp hits DJ for the GW td do people care about wqrren 9 carries. I thought we were living in our fears not throwing it.
He is going to run the wheels off of both guys the next 4 games

I think it’s obvious all of them are at fault at this point.

KP is so shell shocked that I don’t even know how you evaluate him anymore.

Why is there always an excuse for Tomlin from you?

He just finally fired his OC ten games into the season, when it was obvious as f*** he had to do it last January.

Excuse train never stops rolling for all of his shitty decisions.

Now let’s just hope they don’t promote from within at seasons end and actually do a legit search for a new one.

Thank god he's been fired, watching Penn State's offense on Saturday and then sitting and watching the Steelers offense on Sunday made me question my sanity

Holy shit never expected that to happen. Should have been done in the offseason but kudos for making a change. You can’t just watch your young QB flounder and do nothing.

KC and Philly game is watching two professional football teams who know how to play the modern nfl game…unlike Tomlin and the Steelers…the Steelers are a huge blight compared to these teams,so far away from being competitive lol

If feels like I'm watching a different sport when I see other teams than the Steelers play.

I thought you wanted him to stop living in his fears and let KP grow he put the ball in his hands to win it like you said you wanted it. He could’ve handed it off and took a long FG
No more excuses for 8

Great, now what about that Oline coach???

Franklin is the problem at PSU, Narduzzi is the Problem at Pitt, Tomlin is the problem with the Steelers.

Listen to Tomlin's PC, he was upbeat after the loss. That game played out exactly how he wanted it to play out. He's not on a quest for the next superbowl, he's just having fun at a hobby and getting paid a ton in doing so.
