Yep. No comment on Canada at all.

But I've seen enough of KP not being able to make the most basic throws to know he's not gonna make it.
Canada’s absolutely putrid and I’m sure it didn’t help KP’s development but unfortunately chicken or egg doesn’t matter anymore.
Everybody likes to talk passing charts with this offense but if you look at MT's passing chart from when he replaced Kenny a few weeks ago there were a bunch of throws both downfield and over the middle.

Of course, MT's fatal flaw is that he doesn't know when not to throw the ball deep, but I think the narrative that the scheme somehow discourages deep throws or throws over the middle is total bunk.

It absolutely is a terrible scheme, but the lack of deep throws or throws over the middle is more a product of the franchise's terrible qb's since 2021 imo.
Yep. Kenny just didn’t see guys over the middle. The “safe” offense has definitely been drilled into his head from the top down, but I’m also wondering how much of the lack of passing over the middle is him playing scared.

Like I said above, some of that (if not all) is probably the Steelers in his ear about taking care of the football. You can see he has no confidence. The team/staff has definitely had a big part in ruining what little chance KP had to be the guy.

That said, he now can’t put the ball on his receivers and give his team a chance to win. So idk what to do but replace him.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what trait Pickett has that is special. There's simply nothing above the line with the guy. He was going to have to get by on anticipation and reading defenses and he can't do either thing.

If you’re going to attack the middle of the field you have to throw with anticipation and process quickly those are weaknesses for kp. All but 1 of his interceptions this season are from when he attempted to throw it over the middle of the field because he is late if the wr isn’t college open he isn’t going to throw it.
Yesterday he completed 1 pass in the seem and attempted 3 he had muth on a delay route in front if him he threw it to no one

Kenny looks like the worst qb of the last like 5 years. The playcalling is awful. Our Wrs would be 2/3’s on other teams. Najee runs like he thinks he is 30 pounds lighter. The oline is swiss cheese.

I have no idea how they solve all this

Well when your 2 worst players touch the ball on every snap (Cole and KP), that's never a good start.

Yesterday I saw Cole literally not block anyone on screen passes. This is HS level lack of awareness. Dude absolutely sucks and can't even perform a basic shotgun snap.

Idk even where to start with KP's day. The line certainly had it's struggles, but the next time he does that stupid ass spin they should shock collar him. Mahommes can do that pirouette, you cannot Kenny

This is what I think any OC will struggle a little bit with. What exactly are Pickett’s strengths right now that you build the passing game around?

His poor accuracy has been the biggest surprise to me. There was a play yesterday that kind of summed up all the issues with the offense for me — it was the 3 and 14 quick pass to Warren when they needed like 6 yards for the go ahead field goal:

1.) I thought the play call sucked. Everyone could tell as soon as Warren lined up where he did that the ball was going to him.

2.) Pickett threw a bad ball. Warren had to spin around to catch the ball and lost any momentum he had. He did the same thing against the Packers and they got bailed out by a bad call.

The whole offense is just a mess right now.

Basically Tomlin is wasting another HOF career.

Charlie Batch was laying into Canada pretty heavily on the post game last night.

So I’m sure DJ is mad at him and obviously KP, but ultimately DJ is a symptom of what’s wrong with this offense.

Tomlin thinks it’s a good idea to have the bulk of your throws go to a leading receiver with the lowest YPC in the last 50 yrs for this franchise.

He’s also a complete spaz and unreliable as hell. He’s not a Ward or AB that you could rely on to make big plays at pivotal moments.

And this has been going on long before Canada and KP came around.

So we have Chuks angry about the playcalling, Pickens and DJ having a hissy fit, and now Harris going off.

- KP has 100% regressed and is so afraid to throw the ball that I’ve never seen anything like it before.

- The play calling and design is absolute garbage, but I’m not even mad at Canada anymore, he should have never been brought back.

- Moore is an albatross at LT, but sure play your LT unit at RT. Logic fully checks out.

- Cole isn’t much better

- Harris can be pissed, but Warren is avg like 10 YPC the last three games and he gets nine carries?

Warren should be the one mouthing off.

This mess isn’t getting fixed any time soon.

We have seen this same story for three years now and the fact no one wants to face is - the last two OCs have been absolute dog shit, so anyone who fantasizes that Tomlin is competent enough to hire a good OC is delusional.
It is very damning indeed that they traded up for Jones and he's playing the opposite side, decreasing his value for DAN friggin MOORE. YOWZA

Moore looks to me like he could be a very good guard, LT.... Methinks not.

Canada is not a valid excuse for KP anymore. Canada isn’t the reason he can’t complete a 12 yard out to an open DJ with the game on the line. I mean yesterday was completely ridiculous.

We all see what Pickett is doing, it doesn't take twitter account to see it. But to think that the offense's problems begin and end with him is a joke. Put Mahomes in this offense, it would be backyard football circa 2016. Yea, they would win a lot of games and score more, but Mahomes would be injured and they would have still lost a game the exact same way they did yesterday against a backup qb. Mahomes is great, but he was blessed going to a coach that understand OFFENSE.

kp is smallish with an average arm, but I think he succeeds if he was paired up with a coach, like Payton, that understand offense. But placed into this franchise, with a coach that relied on a hugely big oaf of a qb playing hero ball as his offense..............spelled disaster. Kenny is not talented or athletic enough to overcome the anchor of Tomlin and his staff.

Literally no one thinks that he's the entire problem. Like no one.

I didn’t say he was the be all end all.

I am saying that I don’t know if it matters anymore. If the refrigerator is broken and your food is rotten, yes the fridge is the real problem and needs to be replaced - but you also gotta throw out the spoiled food. Kinda see that as the case with the coaching and KP right now. Tomlin is the biggest problem but KP might be beyond repair.

Whoever said to put a shock collar on him when does this spin move is on to something.

People like "derrick" who post acting like they know something when the evidence proves otherwise make me ill.

Yo DERRICK, KP has his back to Garrett's pass rush and he FEELS Garrett beating Moore. Moore grabs and spins Garrett to prevent the hit, but how in the HELL would KP know that Moore would do that to save his life?. He sensed the pressure and unless Moore doesn't tackle Garrett, that is a SACK, FF...and most likely a KO of KP.

Maholmes wouldn’t be hurt. He step up into pocket heck Cleveland guy was getting it out in 2.3 seconds yesterday and stepped upto avoid the rush. You can’t play zone against Maholmes he will destroy you he would throw 40 tds wuth our weapons
Tomlin prototype QB is Lamar its why if they don’t draft a Qb they will bring in Fields

The evidence shows a wide open gap he could step up into instead of spinning into pressure, but go off man.

Again.......IF Moore doesn't grab and spin Garrett, and KP didn't have awareness, he was dead.

KP somehow read felt that pressure and it shows that he does have pocket awareness, something a guy like Rudolph doesn't.
