I've been watching a lot of stuff on Broderick Jones and I don't know if I've ever seen a tackle as big, athletic, but lean as him since Trent Williams. The two of them look like they could play linebacker they are so lean and nimble, then you realize how massive they truly are.

Foster has been comparing Jones impact to Pouncey. They both have elevated the entire o line and aill allow the o line coach to force the other 4 guys to raise their play. He said Chuks Daniels and Cole got fat and happy with their contracts and just wanted to roll the ball out and figure it out. He said Moore is going to make his money elsewhere and would not be shocked if he is traded for capital and he would trade chuks and draft another OT and C this upcoming draft he fully expects Andy to build the Eagles o line here and use Jones has his Peters

He's a franchise Tackle, enough said
The fact he sat for this long is criminal

The fact they may have found the first franchise LT in my lifetime, and he’s playing RT because of one of the worst LTs in the league is…. hmmm..

It would be like making a pedestrian WR the focal point of your passing game when you have a more dynamic choice.

Bet on the Browns rolling out a third string QB who’s better than Pickett this Sunday lol, because they have a semi competent coaching staff…

Has KP ever thrown for 300 yards? Hell, when is the last time he threw for 200 yards?
He has 5 games over 200 this season including the week 2 matchup against Cleveland only 1 300 game in his career that was last season against Buffalo in a blow out

Ben did have a few 4,000 yard seasons under Tomlin so when he has a QB he trusts he lets them eat heck mason had a 300 yard game in 2020

It's not about trusting a two time SB champion.

It's about trusting a young QB so he can either grow into your guy, or Tomlin finds out he needs another guy.

This shit right now is hamster wheel running or ya know, Tomlin Purgatory.

Once again, this team has zero chance in the playoffs if KP doesn't break out.

So keeping him in bubble wrap trying to eek out wins will just lead to season 7 of Tomlin's playoff winless streak.

If Tomlin unshackles KP and he f***s up and becomes a turnover machine and they start losing - who the f*** cares?

At least you start getting a much clearer picture of who he is.

It's all going to end without a playoff win unless KP starts to excel, I don't think anyone will disagree with that point.

I would keep Moore as a backup. Unless they are getting a decently high pick for him. His cap cost for next season is only 1.2mil because he is still on his rookie deal. And for as much as people pick on him, he would be fine as a backup. Now, if they can get say a 3rd for him, then yeah, make the deal.

Nobody will be trading for Chuks at his current contract. He'll be cut and then catch on with another team. I mean sure, if they can get a 6th-7th for him, go for it. But that deal needs to be done before March 22nd and he gets a 4 mil bonus. I guess they could ask him if he wants to take a paycut and be paid as a backup they could go that route as well.

Cole doesn't make that much money. I think they keep him as a backup until they know whether the new C can take over. And that is because the best C prospects in this upcoming draft are late 2nd-3rd round talent. There isn't a Pouncey or Mack or Ragnow in this draft.

But in general, I totally agree with building the line. This draft has a ton of OT that are worthy of being taken in the first round. I could see them going OT/CB/S-OT/CB/S-C with the first 3 picks.

If Tomlin unshackles KP and he f***s up and becomes a turnover machine and they start losing - who the f*** cares?

That's the conundrum. Tomlin cares about his non-losing season streak. And it's to the detriment of long term benefit of the franchise (aka KP).

What's that saying: short term satisfaction 99% is not in your long term best interests? Eating candy all day feels good, but you'll end up with health issues down the line.

Myopicness is death

From what I saw on Sunday, Pickett is shackling himself. There were plenty of plays to be made but he locks onto one guy and does not even attempt to read the defense or find the open guy.

So people want Tomlin to stop trying to win and bottom out with this team? I am sure people would be really patient with a 3-14 type season.

C'mon, don't be pedantic. No one ever said "stop trying"

I've said this same thing a billion times: no matter what walk of life or discipline you choose, there is no growth without pain.
When you work out and your muscles are sore- that's a good thing. Those are your muscle fibers tearing and making way for bigger and stronger ones

KP (well the HC and OC) haven't experienced any pain. Yes there have been stretches where he's looked dreadful, but the exercise he was doing was the same check down/safe throw bullshit that he just failed to execute.

I want to see KP throw inside the numbers. I want to see him chuck it around for 35+ passes. This is where true growth occurs.
But Tomlin won't allow it. Hence, this is the KP we'll always see bc he's not being challenged enough. We won't know his ceiling

So Tomlin tells Pickett to stare down his primary and not look to anyone else? Watch the last game. Dude was locking on and ignoring open WRs throughout the game. I have a really hard time convincing myself that any coach is going to tell a QB to do that.

Once again, Pickett is currently hampered with injury and the it looks like team is seeking ways to have him be even more quick and short than usual.

Being willing to risk 3-14 to discover how much talent your kids has gets you to your next Super Bowl quicker than being determined to go 9-8 and telling your kids not to do much. Either the kids rise to the occasion, or you go 3-14 and can pick difference makers to right the boat.

Deliberately losing sucks, but this is a no risk it no biscuit situation. The odds of Tomlin successfully turning this team into a champion are pretty low...

... and tbh, I'd have thought people who believe Pickett is letting the team down because he lacks talent would be even more on that train than anyone else, because if that's the case, he has to be replaced ASAP and that makes picking high even more important.

The injury excuse makes no sense they let him throw it 30 times on a short week after he left the game against Jacksonville

Paralysis by analysis.

Tomlin has him wound up tighter than a drum worrying about making mistakes.

It’s pretty clear KP has regressed and is afraid to make mistakes.

Tomlin needs to let go of his own fears as well about KP tuning it over.

The worst case scenario is they start losing games, but who the hell cares?

They need to find out if KP can handle the offense running through him, and that also means allowing him to audible more.

I assume that if Pickett ever actually has a good game (we can hope, anyway), that everyone will be on here saying what a great job Tomlin and Canada did. I mean, if every time Pickett plays shitty it is all on them, I assume the reverse should hold as well.

I have seriously never seen people bend so over backwards for a player who has put so damn little on tape. At some point people are going to have to reckon with the fact that Pickett owns what he puts on tape, and it sucks. And once again, I don't like Canada, think he should have been gone in the off season, but there were a ton of plays to be made in the last game and Pickett not only didn't make them, but most of the time he didn't even try because he was locked onto his primary.
