Get ready for Kai Forbath folks. Apparently he aced his try out yesterday.

Boswell has the noose around his neck and the executioner has his foot on the stand.

More dead money we'll be eating when/if that cut happens. Joy.

I don't think anyone could have predicted the fall Boz has experienced. The signing was fine and a fair deal...not Colbert's fault the dude has the yips

This team is a Mickey Mouse organization for keeping Boswell. Seriously.

Chuck Knoll didn’t release players in the 70’s we we won’t either! We are stable! What worked 50 years ago still applies today!!

in fairness they have had no qualms about releasing underperforming kickers under tomlin in the past?

We don't know how to coach or kick so let's subcontract the work out. You show them how to do it and we will stand around and repeat nonsense platitudes.

Patriots are only a two point favorite. Talk about easy money. Bet huge against the Steelers.

I am surprised the spread isn’t more around -7 for the Pats.

Funny you should say that.

“One of the first live sports bets placed at Rivers Casino was from a Pittsburgh man and lifelong steeler fan. He bet $10,000 on the Patriots to beat the Steelers. #WTAE”

If there was just one .gif that epitomizes the Patriots-Steelers “rivalry”:

Exciting Chargers win over the Chiefs...that’s possible good news for the Steelers since the Chargers still could win the division and will have motivation to beat the Ravens next week...of course the Steelers will have to beat one of the Pats or Saints....

Yep. Don't forget the Bengals. If they couldn't finish off the Raiders, nor the Browns this season I don't even look at opponent based on record any longer. Every single team in this league is a threat to embarrass the Steelers.

I'm shocked that tomlins clock management at the end of the raiders game isn't a bigger national story. It should be.

Tomlin has mismanaged the clock his entire career, but this was by far the most egregious thing i've ever seen. A 4 year old knows to call timeouts there.

Is anyone else almost starting to think that beating the Saints is more likely than beating the Patriots?

Not that either is likely. But man. Not only do the Patriots have the offensive attack that will shred a Butler defense (Michel will feast, James White will work his magic on screens, Gronk will Gronk, Edelman and Hogan will have lots of green, and Gordon/Cordarelle will be the deep threat/speed threat), but their freaking defense.

Trey Flowers, Deatrich Wise Jr., Lawrence Guy and Malcolm Brown are a very formidable front. Hightower (WILL), Van Noy (SAM) and Elandon Roberts (MIKE) in the LB corp.

A vastly improved Stephon Gilmore will shadow Juju, AB will be bracketed... depth in vet Jonathan Jones to go along with rook JC Jackson, BOTH McCourty's, Duron Harmon, Patrick Chung is a BAAAAAAAAAAAD man (one of the best and most underrated safeties in the league)... that secondary is WAY, WAY, WAAAAY better than what the Steelers have.

I'm so back and forth with them. They miss Coach Patricia... but this year I went from thinking their defense was great, to thinking it wasn't that great, back to thinking... it's pretty solid. Not amazing, but way better than the Steelers'.

I'm heading down to Rivers to put a pretty penny on the Pats in this game.

Agree but mostly because the Pats have a lot to play for and the Saints may not, especially after Sunday's game...

Well on the good news front the media seems to have finally woken up to what we have been complaining about Tomlin for years now.

How many games of Josh Scoobe did we have to suffer through before that happened? You know the guy the HAD HAD HAD to have and traded for even though he was going to be released and the fact that Boz was a great preseason performer.

So I wouldn't exactly call Tomlin and staff ST's experts

Not the national guys. Apparently because other teams make bad coaching decisions that’s justification to keep Tomlin around

At the least, Colin Cowherd gets it. Granted he's seemed biased against the Steelers a bit for some time now, he is dead on with a lot of his points.

"PIT/NE is only a rivalry if you consider a seal and a shark a rivalry."

"Mark Sanchez has done more damage to Belichick/Brady than Big Ben/Tomlin has...."

Madden yesterday was saying lack of a good 3rd receiver hurts them. Very true. Coach Belichick knows his offense will be fine, special teams fine, his only really concern for the most part in this entire matchup is on stopping AB/Juju. Give me Bill, there.

This is true. Outside of AB, Juju, and Vance, we don't have any reliable receiving options. Washington has done nothing, James is awful. At least Conner/Samuels have a bit of catching ability.

The good news is that game helped . . . a lot.

The bad news is that I suspect it won't make any ******* difference.

I think the Steelers need 2-1 in their last 3 to win the division UNLESS Baltimore chokes (I figure they beat the Bucs and Browns and lose at the Chargers).

I'm not sure that WC2 is going to be an option UNLESS Baltimore wins out and the Steelers finish 2-1. In that scenario, the odds favor the Steelers.

If they go 1-2 to finish without a Ravens choke, then that leaves them at 8-7-1. And at 8-7-1 they're almost assuredly done.

The 7-6 Dolphins finish at Vikings, home to the Jags, and at the Bills. 1-2 is possible, but I wouldn't take it to the bank.

The 7-6 Titans finish at Giants, home to Redskins, home to Colts. The 7-6 Colts finish home to Cowboys, home to Giants, at Titans. My gut says one of those two teams more likely than not goes 2-1.

The 6-7 Broncos screwed themselves last week, but 3-0 to finish at home against the Browns, at Raiders, at Chargers is quite possible IF the Chargers have nothing to play for in that last game.

I'm betting on 1-2 over 2-1.

Unless they lose the next two and the finale means nothing.

No surprise here, but Bryant was officially suspended indefinitely for violating the substance abuse policy and breaking the terms of his reinstatement.

His career has to be over now, right?

Not really. Both are highly unlikely. And remember, the Saints are awesome at home, which is where the Steelers will be playing them.
