ok
And Sully could win another one, either here or somewhere else. Again, you have never cared to understand my critique of Sully, which is why you now think you have me caught.
Let me give you an analogy.
I'm in sales for a profession. Let's say I don't do the fundamentals with my profession, I stop cold calling. While my sales numbers are currently acceptable, my boss warns me that eventually not searching out to new customers will come back to bite me in the end.
Then I have a long drought, no sales and the boss is getting prepared to let me go. It's at this point one of my existing customers contacts me for a project that surpasses all of my goals for the entire year.
Was my boss wrong?
I think a better analogy is that you have a business that has a CEO/Prez that has been around for a very long time. The company makes money and is generally ok. The CEO/Prez isn't necessarily incompetent, but you're left wanting more. "We've always done it this way" is a common refrain in the halls and emails.
That's what Tomlin and Sully have been to me. It's just time to move on.
Because both people would be snapped up in a heartbeat with another organization and likely do quite well.
Just like Igor may be the NHL's best goalie doesn't make him the best goalie RIGHT now.
Edited to say that Sully this post season has proved me wrong. He has made tactical maneuvers that I have not seen the previous 3 playoff ousters.
