I'm glad they addressed the OL, and the guy is versatile which they like. Still seems like a player we could have taken a bit later. He's a perfect zone blocker and Meinerz is not. Maybe that is the direction they want to go now that they are revamping the line?
Maybe I'm seeing this wrong, but it feels like this is more a depth move than necessarily finding a guy to start. I don't know if that is good enough. Currently our OL is mediocre at best. This guy has 33 career starts with 29 at guard and only four at center, so he’s a project at center...expect Finney to start

Absolutely, but I agree Meinerz is the guy I wanted. Him or Brown. It makes sense to me if they are moving to a more zone style line. I would have taken Meinerz though. Dotson is a RG and Green is a LG. I can totally see them moving on from DeCastro after this season and moving Dotson over and letting Green take the starting spot in 2022.
Long story short, this line is going to continue to be a work in process.
What picks do we have tomorrow?
They do love versatility at olineThis guy has 33 career starts with 29 at guard and only four at center, so he’s a project at center...expect Finney to start
Thanks man!
I knew we had two 4ths. Really gotta make them count.Which translates to two 4ths, no 5th, a 6th and two 7ths.
Got the position right.
Got the player wrong.
Maybe this is why @Mr Jiggyfly didn't want them to take OL. He knew the brain trust would **** it up.
Still, you wanna make the most of your picks if you can.Honestly at the end of the day, the browns are the team to beat. Their roster is insane.

Honestly, I really liked Sermon and thought he was a nice value pick when he was taken. He impressed me a lot at the end of last season. I would have been fine if they went that route. I guess they wanted the ''wow'' factor with their first two picks. But Sermon going into the draft was the guy I liked a lot. What did he have like eight yards a carry over his last couple of games? They’re still insane.
Btw Trey Sermon and earlier OL would’ve been much better, going off the Alan Saunders school of thought.
They are but pretty much any team would be. So far I'd give them a solid B. I would have gone OT with at worst a 2hd rounder and maybe late first if we traded back to 30 or so.The thing with the Steelers is that they have a few drafts coming where they should have some comp picks, which could help a great deal. We may have 2 drafts in a row where we max out the comp pick matrix.
I like what the Steelers have done. I think they are better today than they were yesterday.
With all the cap space they will be swimming in next year, pretty sure they can find an OL or two in FA.
