Damn. I was 'hoping' for a leg bone fracture because they tend to have less complications, but not to be. Hopefully the kneecap is still essentially stable and surgery can be avoided. Poor Hampus.

It would be great if we can avoid surgery but only if that is the best path for recovery. If he can come back at 80% with no surgery or 95% with surgery then I prefer the surgical route. I’ll never know but I pray his health is the primary factor. I’d rather battle for a wild card spot and roll out the best team we can health included vs scraping for a higher seed and sending a worn down roster in the playoffs. Also just for the sake of Hampus the human being and his family. Health first.

fracture can mean just a crack. Doesn't mean it broke. Kind of like nan displace stress fracture, only cause by a sudden impact and not a repetitive movement, like running, with feet.

When I hear fracture I usually think of a partial break too (or just a crack) I suppose there are different levels to it but the fact we got ‘weeks’ and no indication of surgery I’m hoping this isn’t as severe as we think

The worst part is we lost a guy that was playing dynamite - taking the puck to the net as a defense man

bad loss at worst time
