Yeah, reporters were all over that one within seconds as an idea.

What is perhaps more interesting - and this is complete speculation - but if that maybe means something for Rudolph. Atlanta need a QB but aren't in a position to draft an instant starter. Maybe Robinson sells Rudolph as a bridge guy there.
They already are paying heinke 8 million and could draft oenix or jj

Atlanta can release Heinike and only incur a 2 mil cap hit. If they want Rudolph instead they can easily make it happen.

What Goalie_Bob said, although I did forget Heinicke is there which makes it a bit less likely.

Also draft JJ McCarthy to be an instant starter would be an incredibly reckless choice, and I'm not sure it's such a hot idea with Penix either. Still, we'll see how their draft sock goes.

Oh good point.

Could be part of a growing trust and appreciation between them. Could be Tomlin is slow to change things and Rudolph still has questions.

Could be Rudolph knows Tomlin likes him but the rest of the decision makers don't see it that way and have Pickett as their guy. That one seems real unlikely but no way of knowing.

Still, I imagine there's some level of some sort of trust there. Hard not to be after how that month went for them. And judging from Tomlin's words at the press conference - how there's a thin line between pro bowler and back-up, how his appreciation for Rudolph grew and how he was impressed at how he jumped right in - I don't think Tomlin's bluffing about liking the player.

Years back in my late teens, I had my childhood best friend stab me in the back over a girl, simply because she liked me over him.

He was like a brother to me, and I tried to stay friends with him, but no matter what he did to regain my trust, it didn’t work out and I had to end our friendship.

It’s really, really hard to trust someone when they do you dirty, even when they try to build that trust back up with you.

Maybe as I said before MR is a guy who blows stuff off and trusts people easily, can’t rule that out.

MR was looking into the abyss of his career because of Tomlin and his lies, however.

So I’d find it incredibly hard to trust that guy ever again.

Also, KP has been extremely good in his short career during the preseason, and it’s naive to think MR could play any better than KP did this past preseason.

All ties would lean to KP.

I’m sure MR knows this and isn’t a stupid guy.

This is why I’m sure he’s only hanging around if he gets lowballed by other teams, which wouldn’t exactly floor me.

It’s really hard to know how other teams value him right now - if he had won a playoff game he would be a hot commodity though, zero doubts.

Just hire ****ing Leftwich.

If you don’t understand how unattractive this job/QB situation is for an up and coming OC, then there is no helping you. F. F. S.

Makes you wonder what will happen with Bieniemy and if he could be a fit here as OC. He's certainly more experienced and proven than a lot of the other candidates.

Yeah, that is definitely something interesting to follow. Bieneimy left KC to get exposure. He did, and he is still not getting HC jobs. I thought he was a lock for Washington.

Bieniemy is just off-putting to people. This has been clear for quite some time now, especially with many other AA guys getting head coaching jobs. Not HC material. However, for an OC/schemer I don't mind it as much. I liked Todd Haley, even.
I think EB can become a premium OC a-la Norv Turner from 10-15 years ago, and make $4-5M/year that way. Yes, he won't reach the highest level but it's still an elite job. I would take him here as an OC, easily.

It was one season and the Washington offence did decent considering what it was, but not magical. I wouldn't give him a HC job off of it. Hell, I'm not sure he's even my favourite choice for the position, although clearly he's a very respectable one.

This would be my least favorite of the candidates mentioned so far.

Good job Baltimore. I thought your defense was supposed to be good?
I have to say, I can’t stand either of these teams but I didn’t realize how much I hate the Ravens until I found myself cheering at the Chiefs score..

It's crazy watching all these teams with great offenses play well and compete in the Playoffs... having a chance at least.

We had the killer B's and Tomlin just f***in wilted... got smacked by shitty teams.

Complete opposite for me. I don't think I have hated a team more than this Chiefs team. I am so tired of seeing them everywhere. There are commercials every other break shoving Kelce or Mahomes down our throats and then the broadcast with Swift, its too much.

Baltimore isn't winning a shootout. And at this rate their defense is going to be completely gassed by halftime.

Yeah, I feel the same about the Chiefs but I just can’t get myself to be ok with a division competitor getting to the SuperBowl lol
