What a throw by Love. Watching today's game convinces me that we need to draft another QB. I can't imagine the Steelers competing against these teams with Pickett or Rudolph

Uh.. Tomlin's teams haven't looked competitive in years. It's going to take a lot more than a QB. Funny enough, any other team with a Pickett or Rudolph seems to whoop our ass.... in the Playoffs.

Ooph. Hard ending for the Packers.

That game is why I put a huge emphasis on how QBs do when in a hole. Purdy had an ugly game but came up trumps. Love's final decision was a very bad one that ended a game that didn't have to. As the commentators said, anyone can do it when things are going your way, it's what happens when they're not that separates the best and the rest.

I wonder how much he and the offense felt like it was TD or bust with that garbage ass kicker they have. If their DBs could catch they probably win regardless. That shit was reminding me of the Steelers defense back in the killer B era where they couldn't force a turnover if their lives depended on it.

I just want an offense that tries forward passes...

You'll get your offence that loves the backward pass and kicking for the posts more than a rugby team and you'll like it. There's collision sport starved children out there that'd be grateful for this offence!

Love is going to be dwelling on that pass all off season.

I get QBs make mistakes, but that’s one of the worst decisions I’ve seen a QB make in the playoffs in some time.

Please don't let this end up being a Baltimore vs KC AFC championship game. Pretty much the last two teams I want to see in the Super Bowl (from the AFC.)
Have been a Bills “fan” for years. Was at North Hills HS at the same time as Mark Kelso (the Bills safety during their SB teams in the 90s with the “big” helmet). It’s my default to support them any time the Steelers are out.

Lions
Bills
Bucs
49ers
Ravens
Chiefs

For me. Guess I got a thing for the underdogs

I think we're going to see 49ers-Ravens, though. I mean, the Super Bowl logo all but confirmed it months ago.

Different players though. JPJ is shutdown outside corner while Branch is a slot CB/hybrid.

The Packers gave that game away. They should have scored atleast 10 more points.

I’m definitely hoping for a Lions/Bills Super Bowl. Both teams that have never won. And I wouldn’t care who won or lost per se, I have friends/relatives that are fans of both teams so I could really enjoy the game.

And I am a strong opponent of spending money on free agent offensive lineman. Like 95% of the guys that get there are mediocre at best and then get paid way more than they are worth. It’s how you end up with a line with Seumolo, Cole and Daniels. Very rarely does a team let a good to All Pro lineman get to FA. Teams find the money for them.

I snickered greatly when I saw that tweet about Onwenu a few pages back. Superstar lineman, lol. If he was so good the Patriots who are going to have a rookie QB would be paying him to protect that player.

JPJ looked good this year, but man Branch had himself a game today.

I'm glad it came down to both dudes being absolute ballers. I was more in the Branch crowd, but JPJ is definitely a different breed of corner with how long his arms are. I was hoping that they were going to trade up after Branch started falling, but I'm super happy with Benton too. All our picks have shown game-breaking potential this year.

I feel like Dejean is Branch-y?

He is. And he is going to test like many thought Branch would have. Dejean should run in the 4.4's and jump well over 40 inches. He also has tape. It's why when some people say he's not a first round pick I laugh. I think he's a top 15 player.

That fumble rule is the dumbest thing in football. Anywhere else on the field and it's spotted where it was fumbled.

Branch has been everything his supporters have said he'd be and been why I'd have been happy to trade down and get him... but Porter has been everything his supporters have said he'd be and I'm happy we didn't trade down.

Mediocre beats a lot of what we've seen from Steelers OL draft picks recently. Even Jones, who has been a huge boon in some ways, has had some really rough snaps. And they don't have a surplus of 14OA picks with which to get equal talent.

I'm also happy enough with Seumalo and Daniels. They're not perfect but I think they've performed well, and if they haven't met bigger expectations that's got a lot to do with the guys inside, guys outside, and the guys on the side of the field.

24 points is the lowest point total by a winner this playoffs. The defense needs some work but nothing really matters until this team can consistently figure out a way to point up some points.

And it would have been cool if the QB post Brady that’s going to run the league could have at least ended up in the NFC.
