I’d do in a heartbeat.Getting Diontae back for a playoff push would be incredible. If he is a jerk/washed just cut him. Such a no brainer move to put a claim in for him.

Yeah, he is. People don't remember that we let him go to Baltimore and he got cut before he came back here and stuck. That could have been disastrous for us.He's right up there, but technically, Harrison was a free agent signing, right?
He certainly hasn't impressed, but if we're talking about covering Andrews and Likely, Beanie would get run over.
They will probably call on Fitz and then have Kazee as the deep safety.
I always thought when Minkah said in the locker room "people in this room want the fruit but they dont want to toil for it," or something along those lines, that he was specifically talking about DJ.Yeah, I can't really see any way they bring DJ back in.
They may not. And I’d be surprised if they bring him back. But damn would he fill a need.I always thought when Minkah said in the locker room "people in this room want the fruit but they dont want to toil for it," or something along those lines, that he was specifically talking about DJ.
I guess we will see, but I don't think this locker room wants the dude back.
The 382nd straight time Andy has picked the Steelers to lose. God it must be hard being this way.Put money down on the Ravens to cover…they’ll win by a TD or more…don’t think it’ll be as close as the games usually are with the Steelers key injuries…bad day in Pittsburgh sports…the Penguins against the NJD is a bad matchup loI ….do think the Steelers will bounce back and claim the division with wins against Chiefs and Bengals at home however….hoping I’m right on that
Making decisions on one game samples is a recipe for bad decisions.I don't agree with that assessment. If we're gonna shell out that amount and term for a player in his late 30's he needs to win a playoff game, or, play well enough that we should win that game.
That's not solely as to what my opinion is predicated on. He's played well, but I haven't been bowled over by his performances either. There's been a couple so-so performances in there. Overall he's played well, but I don't think at this time he should be given the keys just yet.Making decisions on one game samples is a recipe for bad decisions.
The reason Smith was fired in Atlanta was QB play. They signed the best Qb in free agency to try and win a winnable division and redshirt a Qb.That whole saga in Atlanta made absolutely no sense from the beginning.
The ravens have injuries also its a must win for Bmore but I am definitely taking the pointsPut money down on the Ravens to cover…they’ll win by a TD or more…don’t think it’ll be as close as the games usually are with the Steelers key injuries…bad day in Pittsburgh sports…the Penguins against the NJD is a bad matchup loI ….do think the Steelers will bounce back and claim the division with wins against Chiefs and Bengals at home however….hoping I’m right on that

They can probably trade Kirk for a 4th
I don't necessarily think it's a bad move to take multiple swings at QB if you have no clear cut starter, but the ROI on signing Cousins has been objectively terrible. Basically paid him $90m to go 7-7 and now they have to eat $65m in dead cap next year (or $40m in 2025 and $25m in 2026) which could be used to improve the roster. He was just a way too expensive bridge QB. Hindsight is 20/20 and there's no guarantees these guys play like they do in ATL, but Darnold for $10m and Russ for vet min look like incredible values right now.I think far too much is made of Atlanta's decision to get a guy like Cousins and then spend high on the draft on a guy like Penix. If you don't have a QB you don't have nothing, neither was a sure thing, so why not take your swings there if you like them? Yeah, there's probably going to be some inefficiency... but if you find your guy through doing so, then who cares, most teams are inefficient in finding their franchise QB.
The issue is who they trusted. Cousins coming off of that injury was always a massive risk and one that always potentially had a long timeline. It's genuinely possible that it turns out all Cousins needed was more time to get it right and get his confidence back and he'll be a better QB next year than Penix. Unlikely but possible.
Will be real interesting to see who Penix is too as he's basically playing for the GM's job.

The success of the Steelers and Vikings this year is strong evidence that QBs are being overpaid.I don't necessarily think it's a bad move to take multiple swings at QB if you have no clear cut starter, but the ROI on signing Cousins has been objectively terrible. with so few actual difference makers it makes a lot of sense to start paying mediocre qbs like running backs. paying a ton of money for replacement level production just because quarterback is dumb
Justin Jefferson + Trent Williams makes roughly the same amount as Dak Prescott. Paying twice the amount for an average QB than it costs for the best players at other positions is a good way to solidify mediocrity.with so few actual difference makers it makes a lot of sense to start paying mediocre qbs like running backs. paying a ton of money for replacement level production just because quarterback is dumb
