I definitely think LT is the direction we head in. Things line up perfectly right now for that also, but as we know, combine and pro days can change everything. And even if we don't grab a LT in the 1st round, top of the 2nd will have some good ones also. Bergeron from Syracuse is a guy I really like. He'd be an awesome RT.

The real fear that I have is that the Steelers front office continue to build around this nonsense that Canada has sold them. Right now, Quinn Meinerz is one of the top ranked guards in the league, and we passed on him because Kendrick Green was more mobile.

They need to abandon this plan and move in a different direction.

We just paid him, but I agree. If we were able to get a 2nd for Claypool, we should be able to get something better for Johnson. And though I think JuJu signs long term in KC, I think he's the perfect possession type WR across from Pickens.

Addison is going to be a 1st rounder, I think. Top 20, I'd bet.

If they went this direction, I wonder if they’d ever consider moving Chuks to left tackle. It’s his natural position and it wouldn’t be ideal but it’d at least be an upgrade over Moore.

I'd flip them at this point. I mean, I think Chuks just flat out blows, but Moore is getting destroyed. Both he and Green are much better suited at guard.

The RPO offense more or less blows IMHO. I will always prefer conventional play action and when done well with an efficient run game, it is highly effective.

Steeler fans with an eye on the future are stuck in a catch 22. We don’t want them to lose the next seven and see KP drown, but each win gets them dangerously close to buying into Canada’s BS, and Tomlin not having his feet held to the fire.

This org needs to keep being embarrassed without the Ben Band-Aid around, so they can truly have their eyes open to who they are….

A bad team with shitty coaching that needs to remove much of the power Tomlin yields.

There's so much unproven through the entire organization right now, but this happens. The real thing that brings some nervousness is unlike years past, we don't have a highly seasoned, competent GM now. I do like the fact they were aggressive and traded Claypool. Colbert would have never done that.

We need to come away this draft with Siaki Ika or Mazi Smith. We need a nose tackle that can cause havoc in the middle of the play. Until we fix that aspect of our defense, I don't think anything else is going to matter.

They need to focus on stud LT, stud DT or stud corner.

Having a chance to grab one of those three in the top ten would be huge, and this QB class should push a few elite guys down a few extra slots.

Maybe package their two second rounders and move back into the first to solve a second of those three positions.

Or add a second onto their first and get in the top 5.

Depends how the draft unfolds and who is there, but having two extra (hopefully) high seconds gives them some enticing options.

I don’t think they go DL unless Carter falls. I think they go sign a FA DL for 8 million a year 24-28.
I think they will probably stick with Moore but LG/C are definitely in play. I think it’s CB OlB and C top 3

So many wide open receivers for the Bengals. Uncontested catches. Glad to have Mike Tomlin the defensive wizard.

Sometimes I think the scheme is just to rely on TJ Watt because there isn't much else going on besides that.
We had guys open to. Teams attack Spillane and Wallace isn’t a Cb1 he is an ok CB2

See the RPo has elevated so many QBs Rodgers said it helped take him to his mvp level. It hides the limations of Tua arm talent and he is a mvp candidate. Maholmes loves it. Haley tried to get Ben AB and Bell to buy in but it didn’t take.

Yes Matt Canada is the only coach who can call RPOs. The real MVP

What are those stats based on? Because the Steelers are the 5th best at YPC at 4 YPC. Tied with the Ravens.

And if you were watching the games you’d know that the rush defense has been very good this season.

Those teams also have competent coaching implementing those schemes.

RPO requires way too much coordination between all facets of the O, Ie good coaching, to be effective.

Steelers constantly have lineman down the field when they run a RPO. To already have seven such penalties is mind boggling.

It’s not working for them.

Just goes to show the Steelers don’t prepare at all and that Rooney Toons is an idiot for not changing the name of the team to the Aardvarks.

Am I doing it right?

No. If he is fired so be it . Tomlin will just hire another RPo motion guy. He wants an offense to take advantage of QB mobility
Okay fine, if he hires one that is good at his job that is okay. Matty is a mid major coach who got an out of the blue promotion due to nepotism, favoritism, and a coach who doesn't like to be challenged.

Yeah that’s part of what KP has been talking about mental mistakes also your Qb has to make decisions fast.
Ben just did hand jesters or took the snap and threw it. You don’t need a great o line to make it work

Tua the RPo master almost was coached by Canada when Flores was looking for an oc. Mccvay spent time in north Illinois watching Canada and enjoyed the concepts and decided to add nfl concepts to it. He only uses 12 and 13 personal 15 plays tops but still won a super bowl with Stafford and got there with Goff. KP should be able to do Goff like stuff.

You don’t need a great o-line, but the plays need schemed up well, the line, QB, RB and receivers all need to be on the same page.

Canada’s offense and the coaching is way too dysfunctional to run any RPO.

Happened again yesterday on the comical RPO that KP got to Pickens and was called back on another illegal man.

Yeah it’s frustrating but the entire offense is young the oldest regular is 26 they are going to have to work and grow together

What are you going to say when it is revealed that Canada has no credibility in the NFL anymore?

This is always your response. He influenced McVay. He influenced Shanahan. Flores, who is now a "special assistant" liked him. I suppose the new Fins coach owes everything to Matt Canada, too.

Here's reality: no NFL team is going to hire him if/when he is fired here. Period. He's been exposed at this level to a comical degree. Him still being here is a huge indictment on this organization, considering:
*The lazy fixation with Pitt guys and what happens on the other side of the building
*Him giving Tomlin's son a scholarship
*Tomlin's inarguable preference to hire underqualified assistants. At this point it's very clear he doesn't like to be threatened.

Maybe Matty can be like the Brian Wilson (that's the Beach Boys guy, for all you old farts in here) and just stay at home designing RPO plays for the next generation of coaching greatness. As long as he GTFOH.

2nd worst passing defense.

But hey, Minkah's a one man wrecking crew! And keep playing Bobby Spills, it's really helping.

2 DBs went in the top 5 last year. It matters a lot more than non-edge rushing linebackers, but don't tell the Stillerz whose highest defensive pick since the turn of the millennium is Devin Bush.
