Hope Chicago stays near the bottom...would be awesome for the Claypool 2nd to be a late 30's pick

We’ll see how it goes. Packers have lost six in a row I believe.

Be interesting to see which team wins the race to the bottom, but I get the Steelers logic to go with the Chi pick.

I just don't wan them to finish below us ;)

Steelers are going to go about .500 at worst the rest of the way.

There are some god awful shitty teams left.

Colts, Falcons, Panthers and Raiders.

Cle is Cle.

That’s five very winnable games, and Tomlin owns LJ so even the Ravens games will be toss ups.

Having a top 10 pick and a couple of picks in the 30's would be awesome.

A top ten pick would be sweet, but I just don’t see it happening between Watt coming back and the schedule. There are just so many other bad teams.

I think 11-15 is where they end up. It’s too early to know where guys are going to go in the draft, but right now it seems like the best player available in that range will also meet the needs of the team. That seems as of now to be where the Tackles and CBs are projected.

So you're saying the "never had a losing season" dream is alive?

I wouldn’t be shocked, no.

I figure drop 2 to Cincy and Balt. Puts them at 8 losses.

Likely take the other Ravens game. Puts them at four wins.

4-8 right?

The other five are going to be quite winnable.

Gets them to 9-8.

Have to think Tomlin blows one of them, while winning maybe the Cincy game or something Tomlin like.

My guess (hope) is 7-10, which is basically splitting the last eight.

That would put them between picks 8-11 based on last years standings.

It’s a perfect balance between hopefully seeing improvement from KP, while still getting a top ten pick and showing they need a lot of work.

And best of all we never have to hear the non losing season BS again and Tomlin is called out for the mess he created.

Agreed. I think if they win this weekend they could be 6-6 going into the Baltimore game. They play the Colts on Monday night, which they always play well on MNF and the Colts are an equal. Then they play the Falcons who are meh.

So you're saying the "never had a losing season" dream is alive?

I think there is a decent possibility that the final game of the season against The Browns will be the decider. Especially if they beat the Bengals this weekend. If they don't, then I think that is done. They would have to go 6-1 to finish the season above .500. I know..I know, if they beat the Bengals they still have to go 5-2 the rest of the season to be above .500. But if they beat the Bengals, it feels like they could be at the start of one of those 4-5 game winning streaks they go on with Tomlin as the coach when everybody starts to count them out.

It will be a typical Tomlin second half come back type script - which is just BS for the talking heads and will continue to cover up the issues plaguing this org.

On the flip side, you don’t want them going like 1-7 the rest of the way either.

A top 5 pick is great, but that would tell me KP shows almost zero growth.

I would rather trade 5-6 slots in the draft for KP to finish strong, or even play the rest of the way like he did the second half on Sunday.

Mistake free football, with a couple of big plays mixed in to help the team win on Sundays.

Basically the Roth rookie year blueprint.

If they covet a guy, they can always use their second or the Chi second to move up in the first.

It’s a nice luxury to have.

So Tomlins gotta go 6-2 or 5-2-1 to hit the coveted no losing seasons marker.

Watch the man do it and we miss the playoffs by a slot, sliding our draft down to like #18 and Canada staying for next season. I almost expect that more than us losing a ton.

Realistically I think we go 5-3 or 4-4. They say Canada's system is gonna go in year 3! And the whole cast is brought back for next year.

It’s could be the reverse 2018 season were they fell from 7-2-1 to 9-6-1 with AB Juju and Ben.
As a as Canada goes even if they fire him they will just bring in another RPo guy since that’s the best chance KP has to be successful in the nfl.

I'm struggling looking at our schedule cause i see bad teams that can run the ball though...

Raiders- a guaranteed L Tomlin loses to them
Bengals- they need a W bad
Ravens - split
Browns- Watson back they can run...toss up
Colts - lost 7 straight to us...ominous?
Falcons/Panthers- we'll split

I mean 3 wins seems most realistic I guess for 6-10

Going against running teams kind of works in their favor though. The Steelers D is in the top ten against the run this year.

I can see us getting gashed a few games. I don't know either way Tomlin historically has a lot of clunkers to bad clubs...so 3-4 wins seems the most realistic. Unless something big happens.

Raiders will have nothing to play for and probably sitting Carr and ADams when we play. They just got shut out by the same saints team we played and they can’t stop anyone on defense.
Yeah Bengals is a toss up but will be without Chase again and will struggle to keep Burrow up if we win it’s 20-17 with the defense getting a few turnovers.
Colts going back to Ryan is perfect for us. He is a statue and they can put 9 in the box to stop Taylor.
Panthers are back to baker starting might be darnold by the time we play. They do have a great front 7 but their best CB is out for the year. Atlanta o line is the worse I have seen in all of football and Marriota ignores the pitts
Ravens we have won 4 straight against and know how to play Lamar
They will have go and win games like last year with Ben the offense only cracked 20 7 times but they still won 9 games

Didn’t say that lol. They are going to have to win a ton of 20-10 24-14 games like last season unless the offense improves playing a ton of bottom feeding defenses
At best I think we finish 7-10.
Improving from pre bye week:
2-6 to 5-4

That’s probably realistic and if KP shows actual improvement I can live with that. I figured they be 5/3 pre bye and 5-3 after finishing up 11-6 wining the division Vegas said we finish last and wouldn’t get to 9 wins now it’s 6 as the the over

The Raiders will not be sitting Carr and Adams. If they are healthy there is zero chance they sit, Carr and Adams will not put up with that.

They have an out on Carr contract for a reason if they are losing they will sit him. Like the colts did with Ryan

Ya about right.

5 very winnable games and split Ravens (LJ is Tomlin's bitch), there it is.

Beats Ravens at home, Cle, Raiders, Colts, Falcons, Panthers.

That is your likely path to a winning record.

9-8 doesn't get you into the playoffs though. I severely doubt this team sniffs the playoffs.

That is the optimistic, but realistic take to a winning season.

Again, I'm thinking 4-4. Loss to Ravens on the road, Bengals, Panthers, Falcons. Panthers and Falcons will be road games and I suspect they will lose those.

Raiders always beat them out west, but this is a home game, so I feel they will win it. Colts is a home Monday night game, so that's almost an automatic W. Cleveland will be at home and Watson will be rusty. Win agt Bal at home with Tomlin doing his thing agt LJ.

7-10

Bout how I see things shaking out.

7-10 is definitely best case to me. I also won't be suprised if the last seed in the AFC is 9-8.

They will not sit Carr if he is healthy. And the Colts started Ryan last week and won. He will continue to play as well.
They replaced Ryan to try and show the league they aren’t tanking but the colts play Philly us cowboys Vikings chargers and giants not a ton of wins coming for them anyway

It's the NFL, never rule anything out.

However, I don't think more than a handful of teams have ever started 2-6 and made the playoffs in modern history though.

Not sure any of them have had a rookie QB either.
