I’ll eat crow on that. I can’t believe a team traded a 2nd round pick for Chase Claypool

It’s highway robbery for the Steelers to be honest. Claypool absolutely wasn’t worth a 2nd round pick
Especially what should be a fairly high 2nd round pick. At worst smack in the middle.

I had extremely high hopes for Claypool. He had every natural gift you could ask for and seems to have some gray matter between the ears. But he just disappears for long stretches or forgets he has hands for weeks at time with drop after drop.

Best of luck to him. But it probably won’t go any better for him in Chicago.

Claypool's lucky his career is saved getting away from this toxic environment. Not to say he wasn't toxic but he better be ready to shape up going to this team.

It should be a relatively high second as well. I think he’s worth a second in the right situation. Is he going to live up to his potential with Fields throwing him the ball though? Eh.
Is it there 2nd or the 2nd they got from the ravens

Mike Tomlin Blames Steelers Loss on Two Things

"We’re not positioning ourselves to win games," he said. "We didn’t today. And we got on that. Some fundamental things are falling short. We got to keep a lid on it. If you don’t keep a lid on it in the NFL, you don’t give yourself a chance to play. We didn’t do that. I thought it was a domino effect from there on. I thought our eyes weren’t in the right place defensively. It’s capable of happening when you’re not keeping a lid on it. You got to keep a lid on it.

"I thought we were too penalized," Tomlin continued. "I look at those penalties. Some of them I thought were questionable but that’s life. Neither here nor there. I just thought the penalty component of it and our inability to keep a lid on it were Steelers versus Steelers. When you’re playing good people like this group, you’re not going to put yourself in a position to do the things you need to do."

I wonder when he's going to hold himself and his staff accountable? All sizzle no steak... And people actually believe his shtick.
I don't even know what the **** he is talking about there. I am pretty sure he doesn't either. He is the main problem right up there with the OC.

Here’s a hypothetical question: Would anyone have rather traded Claypool plus a fifth for Roquan Smith?

He’ll be expensive but he’s one of the best ILB in football.

I don’t want to pay him more than TJ he wants Warner money I don’t even want to pay him 5-85 that CJ Mosley got from the jets to be the 3rd highest paid MILb

If there is one thing this organization does well is develop WR so if they gave up on him that says something. I fully expected a 2 dog one bone next year cause no way do they pay DJ and Claypool
Boykin Simms will have the rest of the year to show if we need to draft a Wr next year or skip a year.

Who will run jet sweeps now
Simms and boykin

This organization doesn't do anything in regard to player development or film study or creating schemes to position their players to succeed.

Tomlin was asked at half-time on CBS if he was making adjustments. He said "we're not making adjustments, we need to play better!"

Beat your man!
Play better!

Pretty shocked they got a 2, let alone a possible high 2.

Makes me wish they traded DJ in the off-season now seeing that value.

I was indifferent on Claypool, so at least they recouped their initial investment in Claypool.

Think he would have blown up in GB, but going to Chi with Fields has me quite confident none of us will regret this deal.

So KP says they need to watch film and stop making mental errors yesterday and they moved on from Claypool today.

Did you watch the plays in question, AJ Brown was literally in double coverage and out played the DBs on the ball.

What adjustment is necessary to stop that?
